UberX Wellington Information

Thanks for applying to be an Uber driver-partner in Wellington. The next step is for you to attend one of our DRIVE onboarding sessions.

ONBOARDING SESSIONS

Come to a DRIVE session, which is part of the activation process to become a driver-partner with Uber. Check the RSVP link here for available times – please arrive 10min before start time.

You must complete this form before you arrive at the session t.uber.com/wgnform

When you get to the session you RSVP for, we’ll print the form you completed above so you can review and sign it. This will start the NZTA driving history and Ministry of Justice criminal history screening process.

At the session we’ll also run through how Uber works, tips from top driver-partners, take copies of the documents listed below, and answer any questions you may have. This should take no more than 45 minutes.

WHEN AND WHERE

Come to the Uber Greenlight Hub Location, at 176 Tory Street, Te Aro at any session listed on the RSVP Form here.

Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 6:00pm

Wednesday & Saturday: 12:00pm

If a date or time is not available here on the RSVP Form, it has been fully booked out. Just choose another time that suits!

Don’t forget to bring the below required documents with you, or simply upload them all to your partner dashboard now.

WHAT TO BRING

Please bring the following documents along to your onboarding session:

Driver’s Licence

NZ Full licence
Held for at least 2 years
Age is 21 or older

Vehicle Insurance

Bring your Insurance showing:

Your name listed as an Insured Driver
Car Make, Model, Year and Rego
Current Expiry Date
The text “Comprehensive” or “Third Party Property”

Vehicle Registration

Get a photo from the outside of your windshield clearly showing expiry and vehicle info.
Vehicle must be 2006 or newer.
Cannot be a current or ex-taxi (come in and see us to find out about vehicle solutions)
