Wellington Partner Weekly – 4 December 2015
UberKITTENS – the day in review!
You probably noticed UberKITTENS last Friday! In partnership with the SPCA, riders could order adorable kittens to their office for a visit.
New Zealand went absolutely crazy for the kittens. As well as the SPCA seeing great results with a number of kittens finding homes, Uber was all over the news! Breakfast on TV1, Stuff.co.nz, TV3 6pm news, NZ Herald, Dominion Post, Yahoo, and many more! This was many people’s first experience with Uber, and a great way to share our story.
The Countdown is on!
The countdown is on for New Year’s Eve, which we expect will be our biggest night of the year.
Over the next few weeks, it will be getting busier and busier, with people out and about for Christmas parties all days of the week, and socialising with the better weather. Block out your calendars – it’s going to be an awesome next 27 days!
Remember to get your friends into the office before Christmas. Our awesome referal competition has prizes of $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000 for the top three referrers, and ipads for the next 5! See all the competition details here – you have until 27 December.
Hidden Phone numbers
You should have received the email yesterday about the introduction of disguised numbers for riders and drivers over the next week. If you missed it, see the email here.
Pro tip: For this feature to work, make sure your caller ID is not blocked.
Rider signups
Remember, till Christmas you earn $10 for every new rider you sign up! As a partner, your code gives new riders a $20 free ride, which is an awesome deal – it’s more than the $10 that riders can gift. And you get paid for sharing the Uber love!
