UberKITTENS – What a Paw-some Impact!

On Friday 27th November 2015, we had the purrfect day delivering UberKITTENS across Auckland and Wellington in partnership with SPCA Auckland and Wellington SPCA.

These kittens really made a pawsitive impression in offices, the Ronald McDonald Childrens House, newsrooms, and everywhere in between!

The SPCA’s saw some fantastic results from the campaign. Uber are proud to partner with them and raise awareness about the joy of adoption and pet companionship.

Here are some of the highlights:

• UberKITTENS helped connect 35+ kittens and cats to their new families.
• The promotion raised nearly $4,500 for the participating SPCAs.
• We were totally overwhelmed by the response with thousands of requests!
• Auckland went catnip crazy. Over 30 kittens and cats were adopted in the weekend following—that’s nearly 2X the number of participating kittens and one of the bigger amounts seen in Uber cities around the world!
• #UberKITTENSNZ was trending across Twitter and Facebook.

Our team had a great time traveling around Auckland and Wellington meeting everyone. Whether you adopted an UberKITTEN, are thinking about volunteering, or posted on your social channels—we are so grateful to everyone that helped make UberKITTENS paw-some!
