UberBLACK Pop-up

uberblack

A special UberBLACK promotion will be running for the next 7 weeks in Auckland. As the boys defend our nation’s title, we want to give all the loyal supporters at home something special.

Hyundai have provided 10 new Genesis vehicles which will be on the road Thursday to Sunday, midday to midnight. We are donating 10% of all fares to KidsCan charity.

Rider’s can request UberBLACK by selecting the UberBLACK icon on the slider in the Uber Rider App, right next to uberX and uberXL.

This is an awesome opportunity to test a premium product in Auckland! You can read all about the promotion here.

A Note on Service Animals

Service dog

An important reminder that while Uber Partners can transport pets at their discretion, accessibility laws require all Uber Partners to accommodate service animals. Service animals include guide dogs, but also other dogs and animals that support riders who have other disabilities.

Pro tip: If you are worried about mess, keep a towel in your boot for the animal to sit on!

First in First Out Airport Queue

As we introduced a few weeks ago, airport requests are now assigned to you on a queued basis, meaning the first driver to enter the airport zone will be first in “queue” for a request. See all the info here.

Note that nothing else has changed at the airport. There are still the same number of requests as before and the airport is not always busy.

Important: Taxi Signage Reminder

A firm reminder to Uber partners who also drive for a taxi company. You must never pick up an Uber rider with your taxi signs on. Uber has a zero tolerance policy on this.

If you ever spot an Uber partner you think is picking up a rider with taxi signs on, please email and let us know the numberplate, time and location so we can check if they were on an Uber trip.
