Uber Courier is a delivery option that allows you to request a driver or delivery person through the Uber app to transport your item(s) to a person waiting at a designated drop off location. You can also request to have an item sent to you from a designated sender.
- Where can I find Uber Courier?
Navigate to the Uber app homescreen, choose the Uber Courier icon, and follow the in-app instructions.
- What can I send?
Items sent using Uber Courier have specific monetary value limits and weight limits per vehicle type. For delivery by vehicle, you can send packages that:
- Don’t contain any prohibited items¹
- Fit comfortably in the requested vehicle
- Are closed, securely sealed, and ready for curbside or door pickup
- Are within the monetary value and weight limits for your location²
For delivery by bike or scooter, if available in your location, you can send packages that:

- Where can I send my item?
Uber Courier is designed for local delivery, typically within a single geographical area (excluding international border crossings).
- What does the recipient need to do?
The recipient must be available to meet the delivery partner at the door or curbside. If you’d like the item to be left at the door, you can add specific delivery instructions in the app.
- What happens if the item is damaged during delivery?
Uber does not maintain insurance coverage for item loss, theft, or damage caused by a third party. Please go to the Terms and Conditions for full details.
- Can I send someone an item as a surprise?
We recommend that you notify the recipient of the delivery so they can meet the delivery person to retrieve the item from the vehicle. If you do send someone an item as a surprise, you’ll need to clearly instruct the delivery person, in the message section of the Uber app.
- What if I have an issue with the item delivery?
- If your item hasn’t been delivered yet, you can call or message the delivery person in the app.
- Delivery people are free to cancel your request for any reason, including, for example, if your package was too heavy, was too large for their vehicle, was not packaged securely, or contained a prohibited item.
- If the person receiving the item wasn’t available, the delivery person may try to contact you in the app to resolve the issue or coordinate a return. You’ll be responsible for costs associated with returning the package to you if necessary.
- If you haven’t yet received your package, if it was damaged during delivery, or you need help coordinating a delivery in case of terminated trips or canceled requests, contact Uber Support for help.

Items sent via Uber Flash have specific limits on monetary value, weight and size per type of vehicle. Some items are prohibited from being transported, such as: alcoholic beverages, medication, recreational drugs and dangerous or illegal products. For delivery with Uber Flash you can make shipments that:

For deliveries by motorcycle, bicycle or scooter, if available in your location, you can make shipments that:
Do not contain prohibited items Fit comfortably in a backpack with dimensions of up to 40 cm x 38 cm x 45 cm and a weight of up to 10 kg Are properly packed, properly sealed and ready for collection Are within the monetary value limits of R$500.00 or R$4,500.00 if you choose to take out insurance.
If your shipment contains a prohibited item or does not follow the above restrictions, the partner courier may cancel your request.

Uber Flash is designed for local deliveries, usually within a single geographical region (excluding journeys across international borders).
- What does the recipient need to do?
The recipient of the item must be available to meet the delivery partner at the curb. If you need to give the delivery partner further instructions, you can add delivery notes with further instructions to facilitate the delivery process.
- What happens if the item is damaged during delivery?
When you order an Uber Flash, you will have the option of taking out insurance cover for lost items, theft or damage caused by third parties. This option is found within the app and can be activated under Item Protection, at a cost of 1.5% of the value of the goods for this service. See the optional insurance terms and conditions in the Uber app for more information.
- Can I send an item as a surprise to someone?
We recommend that you notify someone who is at the delivery destination so that they can meet the delivery partner and receive the item.
- What if I have a problem with the delivery of items?
- If your order hasn't been delivered yet, you can call or send a message to the delivery partner via the app.
- Delivery partners can cancel your order for any reason, such as if your item is too big or heavy for their vehicle; If it is not packaged properly; or it contains a prohibited item.
- If the person who received the order is not available, the delivery partner may try to contact you in the app to resolve the issue or coordinate the logistics of a return. You will be responsible for the costs associated with returning the order, if necessary.
- In the event of problems with completed trips, contact Uber Support via the app: Open the app and go to account Click on help for information.
- Is there any protection for the item sent?
You can choose, where available, to take out additional insurance for the shipment of items. This insurance is marketed by Cover Genius Brasil Serviços e Tecnologia Ltda. and underwritten by 88i Seguradora Digital and your policy must be accepted at the time of contracting by the Uber app. Cover Genius is a partner company of Uber and the terms of the policy are additional and can be viewed by the App at the time of contracting. Uber is not responsible for the insurance and any guarantees in this regard by Uber are expressly excluded. The terms of the policy may contain a list of prohibited items additional to those mentioned in the Uber Flash Terms and Conditions. The total value of the items sent may not exceed the following limits: Shipping with optional insurance R$ 4,500.00 (four thousand five hundred reais) Submission without optional insurance R$ 500.00 (five hundred reais)
- What should I do in the event of a claim?
If you selected the Protect your delivery option when requesting Uber Flash and an accident occurs with your item, you should follow these instructions:
- Within the Activities option at the start of the app search for the delivery that was made with Uber Flash
- When you select the trip, go to the banner with the following message: Insurance claim. You will be directed to the insurance company's website and just follow the instructions.
- What is U-Code?
By selecting this option, you can include the recipient's details and this person will receive a message in the app with a 4-digit code. When the item reaches the recipient, they must share the code with the partner courier to ensure that they are the right person, and only then can the delivery be completed. We will send you a confirmation as soon as the delivery is complete. This way, for added peace of mind, in addition to the name, photo of the driver, the license plate and the model of the vehicle, users can also confirm that the delivery was successful.
