November 22nd in Lebanon marks 75 years of Independence, and we are proud to be in this country and among its community.
Here at Uber, we believe that opportunity is everywhere. So this year, we decided to shed a light on independent local businesses who have seen an opportunity to start their own company right here in order to grow and reach the world.
Meet the local businesses
TAQA on the go
TAQA on the go was founded by Soumaya Merhi who saw an opportunity amongst the Lebanese community that needed some healthy locally baked snacks. She chose to venture into it when everyone around her was skeptical about Lebanese food brands. She carefully chose and blended local flavors with healthy ingredients to create good and tasty snacks. Smart Gourmet
Smart Gourmet started with a group of friends, Charbel, Nancy and Jad. The idea came up from their restaurant in Jbeil “Tôt ou Tard”. Their aim was to serve ready-to-eat Lebanese meals made from fresh ingredients with no preservatives. Mixing expertise and technology innovation, they aim to serve Lebanese dishes on every dining table in the world. Video coming soon.
