Madhu Kannan is Chief Business Officer at Uber. In his role, he oversees the company’s global business development, corporate development, and investment functions.
Madhu first joined Uber in 2017 as Chief Business Officer for Asia-Pacific. He rejoined Uber in 2023 after a brief stint at Bank of America Securities, where he was Executive Vice Chair, Global Corporate & Investment Banking. Earlier in his career, he was Group Head of Business Development at Tata Sons, Chief Executive Officer of the Bombay Stock Exchange, Managing Director in the Corporate Strategy Group of Bank of America-Merrill Lynch, and Senior Vice President at NYSE Euronext in the listings and business development functions.
Madhu earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree (Honors) in electrical engineering and electronics, and a Master of Science (Honors) in economics from BITS, Pilani, India, as well as an MBA in finance from Vanderbilt University.
