Ciao Italia! “Stealth” Ubers Hit Milan
The snow is falling in Milan, which means two things: [i] perfect ski conditions in the Dolomites; and [ii] no chance of finding a ride in the city.
Late for a taping of his show Cuochi & Fiamme, the culinary master Simone Rugiati flipped open his UBER app, saw a group of UBERs nearby, and fired off a request.
In less time than it takes to down a caffè, Danilo rolled up in his S-Class Benz. Chic.
With the classy and powerful strut of a local runway model, our “stealth” UBERs have taken on the urban catwalks of Milan.
Another aperitivo ragazzi?
Consider this the “primo” in our multi-course Italian rollout. As with all great chefs, we’re working on perfecting our offering through trial and error.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be experimenting with our price, placement, and positioning. While we’re in “test mode,” you can request an Uber, but be aware that availability will be limited until our official launch. If you’re one of the lucky few that’s able to grab an Uber, make sure you give us feedback on your experience, so that we can make our 1st Italian launch as deliciously satisfying as our other UBER cities.
You can chat with us at supportmilano@uber.com or float us a tweet @Uber_Milano.
nUbers, this is strictly for Adventurous Riders Only!

P.S. To celebrate Simone’s inaugural trip with UBER, he’s offering all new UBER users €20 off of their 1st trip in Milan. Download the UBER app from the iPhone / Android and punch in the code “rugiati,” or sign up here: https://www.uber.com/go/rugiati/
