RESTRICTIONS FOR DIRECT DELIVERIES

Requesters may not send the following items:

OFD (Online Food Delivery):

• Food or products that have passed their “Used By” or “Best Before” date
• Illegal or controlled edible products (e.g. horse meat, shark fin)

Illicit items:

• Recreational drugs or illicit substances
• Cannabidiol (CBD) (except CBD products that are otherwise explicitly permitted to be sold and delivered under applicable laws); any form of marijuana or paraphernalia; other herbal controlled substances
• Binge drinking, smoking, or drug-related paraphernalia and tools (e.g. funnels or snorkels designed for alcohol, rolling papers)
• Pornography
• Stolen or counterfeit goods
• Goods made with asbestos or lead
• Pathological samples and other bio-hazardous bodily substances (e.g. blood samples)
• People or animals including Endangered Species or parts thereof; regulated plants (e.g. noxious weeds, plants, prohibited seeds)
• Firearms (e.g. handguns, fireworks, rifles, or any item from which a shot bullet or other projectile can be discharged)
• Explosives, including, fireworks, ammunitions, christmas cracker snaps, flares, fuses and their parts

High value items or valuables:

• Money; gift cards; lottery tickets; coins; traveller’s cheques; securities of any kind payable to bearer; platinum, gold or silver, manufactured or otherwise; jewels; other articles of high intrinsic value; or precious stones (all valuable natural mineral stone, silica or substances extracted from the group, whether in its natural state or refined, processed, set or treated); monetary donations

DIY/Building Materials:

• Any items that are classified as weapons under any applicable laws and regulations, including any applicable European Union regulations and any local laws in the Republic of Ireland.
• Knives and bladed items of any kind, including any axes, swords,razor blades or any other object that is sharply pointed;
• Automative battery and industrial batteries
• Other batteries that are not incorporated into appliances. These are batteries that contain more than 0.0005% of mercury by weight, a portable battery that contains more than 0.002% of cadmium by weight, and any other battery that is prohibited under any applicable laws and regulations
• Lithium ion batteries and lithium metal batteries not connected to an electronic device
• Aerosol paints and similar items containing hazardous chemicals (including, but not limited to, paint thinners, varnish, paint removers)
• Items containing hazardous chemicals, corrosive substances and explosive substances which are prohibited for delivery under any applicable laws and regulations, including any applicable European Union regulations and any local laws in the Republic of Ireland.
• Any items that are classified as dangerous goods regulated under any applicable laws and regulations, including any applicable European Union regulations and any local laws in the Republic of Ireland and any international regulations, (including, but not limited to, gases, flammable liquid).

Prescription items - prescription medicines are only allowed if specifically cited on Order Form

• Medical equipment
• Pharmacy items, including:
  • Behind the counter medications
  • Over the counter medications
  • Prescription medication
  • Temperature sensitive drugs and/or cold chain drugs
• Single use or disposal plastic products
• Cosmetic products that are restricted to professional use under EU Regulation 1223/2009 on Cosmetic Products, and any cosmetics products that contain any prohibited ingredients listed in EU Regulation 1223/2009.
