Cash Cancellation Fee

You just made an Uber trip request, but you have to cancel? Don’t worry, you have the option to cancel your request.

Cancellations can be frustrating for our riders and driver partners alike. But, to ensure that drivers are fairly compensated for their time when committing to a trip, we are placing the cancellation fee of IDR 30,000 (uberX) or IDR 10,000 (uberMOTOR).

In general, as long as riders cancel within 5 minutes of the initial request they won’t be charged a fee. When a rider choses to cancel a cash trip more than 5 minutes after booking, we collect the applicable cancellation fee on the next trip.

After completing the next trip, the total fare that the rider will pay will include the previous trip’s cancellation fee and the rider will also receive two receipts for each of these payments which include:

In case there is a situation where riders feel that they were charged unfairly, they can let us know so that we can intervene. We will refund the fee in the form of Uber credits, which can be used to pay for future trips. The Uber credits will reflect on the account immediately.
