Enterprise Account Executive, Uber Direct

Sales, Sales & Account Management
New York, New York |
San Francisco, California |
Chicago, Illinois
Full Time

About the Role

Uber Direct is transforming last-mile delivery by enabling leading brands to offer seamless same-day delivery through their own websites and apps, powered by Uber’s global logistics network. Our partners include many of the world’s largest grocery and retail enterprises.

As an Account Executive for Strategic Enterprise Accounts, you will partner on and help lead relationships across our most complex and high-impact grocery and retail merchants. This is not a transactional sales role — it is a consultative, detail-oriented leadership position operating at the intersection of commercial strategy and execution. You will bring structure to ambiguous, loosely defined challenges, make sound decisions with imperfect information, and align diverse stakeholders around a clear path forward. From shaping tailored enterprise solutions to leading high-stakes negotiations, your work will directly influence multi-million-dollar partnerships.

This role is ideal for someone with a consulting or strategy background who combines analytical depth with strong commercial instincts. You are comfortable engaging senior executives, navigating complex negotiations, and producing detailed, executive-ready materials with exceptional accuracy and polish. You don’t just shape strategy — you drive it through alignment, execution, and measurable business outcomes.

What the Candidate Will Need

  1. Own Strategic Enterprise Partnerships: Drive commercial strategy and execution across a portfolio of top grocery and retail accounts, serving as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and driving long-term growth.
  2. Create Structure & Solve Complex Problems: Bring clarity to evolving merchant needs by synthesizing incomplete information, aligning competing priorities, and developing rigorous commercial proposals (pricing, decks, RFPs) that translate complexity into actionable solutions.
  3. Manage Ambiguity and Messiness: Handle technical debt, shifting priorities, and legacy complexity while maintaining a disciplined pipeline and a "go-get-it" attitude.
  4. Deliver Executive-Ready Output: Develop high-quality proposals and deliverables with exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and polish.
  5. Lead Complex Negotiations: Lead key components of the end-to-end sales cycle (from pitch to go-live), partnering to structure commercial agreements and navigate difficult conversations to close high-stakes deals.
  6. Orchestrate Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the central driver across cross-functional teams, influencing stakeholders and driving alignment without direct authority, while still ensuring external commitments are executed with precision.
  7. Drive Insight-Led Growth: Use data to refine commercial strategy, and maintain disciplined pipeline management and forecasting.
  8. Build Enduring Trust: Act as the primary point of contact for partners by establishing credibility with both external partners and internal stakeholders, using sound judgment and executive presence to influence outcomes in high-stakes environments.
