About the Role

The Strategy team within Delivery Commercial Operations (DCO) enables data-driven decision-making and strategic direction for Uber’s delivery business. As a Commercial Strategy Senior Associate, you will play a key role in driving deep dives, business optimizations and coordinating large regional programs related to commercial strategy and merchant value generation. You will work within defined models to help identify opportunities for business growth and provide analytical support for forecasting and planning.

This is an L4 (Senior Associate) level role, ideal for an analytical professional ready to support us in driving commercial strategy, with immediate focus on value generation and merchant pricing.

What you'll do

  • Drive Analytics and Deep Dives: Perform broad analysis and translate into deep dives and executive presentations to support broader strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain Reporting & Dashboards: Build cross-market reporting framework and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends related to commercial strategy and revenue generation.
  • Support Strategic Planning: Assist in the analysis of performance data to support forecasting, planning, and prioritization efforts alongside commercial leaders.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with immediate team members and stakeholders in Sales Operations, Finance, and Product to ensure data accuracy and alignment on tactical work.
  • Generate Insights: Interpret core sales metrics and data sources to provide data summaries and clear updates to the team regarding business performance.
  • Pricing Analytics and Project Management: Scale and build pricing models and initiatives cross multiple markets.

What you'll need

  • Analytical Capability & Data Fluency: You understand core sales metrics and data sources. You are proficient in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets for data extraction, manipulation, and dashboarding, and you can produce forecast inputs accurately.
  • Business & Functional Expertise: You possess a foundational understanding of basic GTM and SaaS concepts and can utilize data tools with support to analyze performance.
  • Strategic Thinking & Execution: You can support strategy projects and contribute to tactical execution with direction, connecting your specific tasks to broader team priorities.
  • Operational Excellence: You follow established planning processes and assist in maintaining reporting tools to ensure reliability.
  • Communication: You share data and findings clearly in team meetings using structured templates and standard reporting formats.
  • Innovation & Problem Solving: You are able to break down basic problems and contribute to brainstorming solutions for immediate business questions.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in analytics, strategy, sales operations, or a related field.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • SQL: Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation is required.
    • Spreadsheets: advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
    • Visualization: Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) is a plus.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate technical data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
