Senior Strategic Operations Associate, Uber Comfort

We are looking for an outstanding individual to join our US Core Operations team who is passionate about designing and building creative solutions to our most complex problems. You will work closely with our Leadership Team, and drive alignment across the entire organization, including Product, Engineering, and Customer Support.
In this role, you will help shape the strategy and optimize Uber Comfort - which includes owning and managing the individual product P&L's, defining the product's value proposition, and shaping the product roadmap. You’ll design and lead high-impact projects and experiments to drive growth, efficiency, reliability, and experience of your product. If you love setting a vision, leading cross-functional partners, pushing projects forward to deliver measurable and strategically meaningful results, and solving problems with data from both 30,000 feet as well as deep in the details, this is the role for you.
About the Team
Our Core Products team is responsible for managing the end-to-end P&L of our core product lines (UberX, UberX Priority, Wait & Save, Comfort, XL), optimizing the offering across various dimensions including price, ETA, etc. to maximize long term growth, and setting the long term portfolio strategy to build the products and offerings that our consumers want.
What You'll Do
- Lead the strategy for Uber Comfort balancing various dimensions across customer experience and price elasticity, keeping trade-offs across other products in mind
- Identify, scope, and recommend solutions, then take ownership for delivering on the project and the outcomes, as well as keeping leadership informed of progress
- Take accountability for project outcomes, ensure delivery on critical project metrics, and keep others informed of progress
- Analyze sophisticated data, build models, and aggregate insights to drive key business decisions and policies
- Advise senior leadership on long-term strategy and decision making by defining critical metrics, developing dashboards, and providing strategic insights
- Work with Product teams to guide the development of our solutions based on business and customer needs. Project manage cross-functional work streams for key Product roll-outs across the US. Set and measure key performance indicators for roll-outs you oversee.
- Collaborate and work cross-functionally with other Operations teams as well as with Product, Data Science, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Support to ensure insights inform broader critical initiatives
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ year of professional work experience in a related field (consulting, investment banking, technology, operations, strategy, or analytics).
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Intermediate SQL skills required.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4-6 years of professional work experience in a related field, such as consulting, investment banking, strategy, operations, or analytics.
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets and SQL proficiency.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
- Experience problem-solving and proposing unique solutions to complex issues.
- Strong experience building and executing complex processes.
- Proven ability to balance multiple critical tasks and to consistently deliver against hard deadlines.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting data & insights to a sophisticated audience.
- Strong collaboration skills - building deep, trust-based relationships with territory and cross functional teams.
- Unparalleled business judgement and critical thinking skills with the ability to use data to quickly develop strategies and make decisions.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year - USD$145,500 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year - USD$145,500 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp.
