About the Role

The Venues workstream is focused on reimagining how Uber shows up in the physical world. This role focuses on elevating rider experience in high-traffic physical environments where the experience is often currently "slap-dash" or non-existent.

As the Strategy & Operations Manager, you will own key initiatives and project end-to-end, from scoping, to business case development, to execution and post-launch optimisation - partnering with local and global stakeholders across product, operations, marketing, and finance, as well as engaging with external business partners.

What the Candidate Will Do

  1. Partner with cross functional teams to close commercial deals and optimise the customer experience.
  2. Build and maintain dashboards to track venue performance against key metrics,
  3. Make rider experience the reason people choose Uber. Lead strategy for Uber to be best in class mobility experience.
  4. Structure and solve ambiguous business problems. Dig into our customer data and surface actionable insights on our customer experience and sentiment.
  5. Develop executive level presentations to influence senior leadership and gain buy-in on critical business decisions.
  6. Diagnose and implement opportunities for actionable improvements and frameworks to evaluate decisions. then own execution and resolution of those improvements.
  7. Own and scale new and/or existing Growth Opportunities, with full accountability for customer experience, P&L performance, and promotional budgets

Basic Qualifications

  1. University degree in a quantitative field, such as Economics, Statistics, Finance, Business/Commerce, Social Science, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  2. 3+ years of experience applying analytics to tackle business problems (consulting, banking, tech, or high-growth environments).

  3. Strong analytical skills and structured problem solving: you are naturally curious and are motivated by solving problems, however complicated or ambiguous they may be. You have the ability to break down complex problems by applying structure and using data-driven insights, leveraging your strong Excel/Sheets skills (SQL proficiency preferred), and comfortable with making your own assumptions when there is no clear answer.

  4. Product sense: You know what makes a product experience not just good, but amazing. You work cross-functionally with teams to create integrations that delight users and drive measurable impact.

  5. Entrepreneurial mindset: hands-on, resourceful, adaptable, with the ability to prioritise for impact and work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

  6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to make insights clear and compelling and to influence cross-functional and global teams

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience representing your company externally with partners, clients, or stakeholders

  2. Familiarity with product experimentation and growth-stage environments

  3. Experience with SQL, Tableau, Python or similar is a plus
