Strategic Operations Manager, Marketplace
About the Role
Uber Eats is seeking a Strategic Operations Manager to drive the reliability and health of our Canadian Grocery and Retail marketplace. This role is part of the Canada GR Local Marketplace team, where you will manage the strategy and implementation of courier enablement and supply availability.
Your mission is to ensure customers receive orders in a timely manner while supporting earners in navigating new grocery opportunities. This operations role calls for a combination of creative problem-solving, operational optimization, data analytics, and project management. You should be comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environment, enjoy solving problems and thrive in a startup environment. You will work cross-functionally with Local Operations teams, Product, and Finance to help grow Uber Canada Grocery and Retail business.
What You’ll Do
- Marketplace Health and Courier Incentives Ownership: Lead the Grocery & Retail marketplace health and courier incentives workstreams end-to-end, including strategy, deployment, optimization, and measurement
- Data-Driven Insights: Analyze complex datasets to drive key business decisions and aggregate insights that inform incentive structures and marketplace reliability strategies
- Strategic Advisory: Advise senior leadership on long-term strategy by defining critical metrics, developing dashboards, and providing strategic insights
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Regional Operations, Data Science, Partner Management, Finance and Customer Support to ensure marketplace health insights inform broader critical initiatives
- Product Partnership: Work with Product teams to guide the development of solutions based on business and customer needs, overseeing the roll-out of new features in Canada
- KPI Management: Set and measure key performance indicators for all marketplace health initiatives and incentive campaigns you oversee
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in a related field (consulting, operations, strategy, analytics, tech or analytics)
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with data analysis in Excel/Google Sheets and SQL
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Strong experience building and executing complex processes
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting data & insights to a sophisticated audience
- Experience problem-solving and proposing unique solutions to complex issues
- Experience with quantitative data analysis, deep measurable insights, modeling, and sophisticated test plan design and analysis
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills - building deep, trust-based relationships with teams and cross-functional partners
- Strong business judgment and critical thinking skills with the ability to use data to develop strategies and make decisions quickly

For Canada-based roles: The base salary range for this role is CAD$95,500 per year - CAD$106,250 per year.
