Performance Marketing, Strategy & Planning Lead, EMEA
About the Role
We're looking for a highly strategic and experienced Performance Marketing leader to drive our regional performance and growth strategy across EMEA. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for translating our global strategy into impactful initiatives relevant to EMEA. You'll achieve this by deeply understanding market dynamics, challenges, and opportunities, and by forging strong strategic partnerships with both Marketing and Business leaders. You'll also own region-specific Performance Marketing projects, leading end-to-end strategy, coordinating execution, and collaborating closely with our Performance Marketing leadership teams across Paid, CRM, and SEO teams to deliver comprehensive measurement and reporting that informs broader business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and shape the Performance Marketing strategy for our Ride business across EMEA Markets, collaborating closely with the Global Performance Marketing team to ensure campaigns not only meet growth and efficiency targets but also align with overarching business goals.
- Act as a key strategic consultant on local marketing tactics, providing data-driven insights to prioritize globally led strategies and influence regional operational planning.
- Forge deep partnerships with Regional Operations and Marketing teams to comprehensively understand local challenges and opportunities, then collaboratively develop scalable, regional performance marketing tactics that directly address these business needs.
- Serve as the primary voice of Performance Marketing (across Paid Media, CRM, and SEO) with regional cross-functional stakeholders, building strong trust and alignment between global, local, and operational teams.
- Develop a strategic roadmap for your region rooted in best practices for channel optimization, robust measurement, and advanced Ad Tech, ensuring it supports broader business objectives and operational efficiencies.
- Analyze complex consumer patterns, including app download trends, conversion rates, and competitor activities, to identify opportunities for media investment efficiency and provide actionable strategic recommendations to business operations and marketing leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to analyze and structure complex data, transform raw data into clear, actionable insights, and translate those insights into concrete strategies that directly assist senior management and other business leaders with critical decision-making.
- A high degree of business acumen coupled with a strong analytical mindset, capable of understanding and influencing commercial outcomes.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to navigate and thrive in a matrixed organization, effectively influencing diverse teams.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies to both marketing and non-marketing audiences.
- A highly motivated, self-starting professional who is thorough, organized, and constantly seeks opportunities to improve skills and contribute to the broader business. Thrives on complex challenges and is adept at overcoming intricate situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive experience in performance marketing, with a strong track record in building and executing multi-channel and cross-channel strategies that drive significant business impact.
- In-house Performance Marketing experience preferred, ideally within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- A compelling presenter with the ability to narrate strategic vision, communicate complex performance outcomes, and influence business strategy across various departments.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial approach, actively seeking and identifying opportunities that maximize both marketing and overall business growth impact.
- Demonstrated ability to promptly establish and communicate priorities, with a passion for creating structure and overcoming organizational inertia to drive cross-functional initiatives.
- Extensive experience working within a return on ad spend (ROAS) performance marketing framework, coupled with deep familiarity with AdTech and advanced measurement approaches.
- Experience managing Performance Marketing strategies in a marketplace business and owning large Performance Marketing budgets, with a clear understanding of their impact on unit economics and operational efficiency.
