As an Application Developer – Financial Systems & Oracle Fusion, you will envision and craft a financial product roadmap to enable accurate, compliant, and streamlined accounting, tax, and financial close processes globally. You will play a key role in designing and supporting Oracle Fusion Financials–centric solutions, complemented by internal financial platforms and a broad ecosystem of SaaS applications, with attention to tax implications, intercompany transactions, and regulatory compliance, including eInvoicing and digital reporting requirements.
You will partner with FinTech leaders to perform systems analysis and implement changes across financial systems, ensuring data integrity, tax accuracy, and audit readiness. You will be responsible for overall metrics and business impact of your programs across ERP Financials domains, including Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, and Intercompany processes, within a hybrid ecosystem of Oracle Fusion, internal products, and diverse SaaS platforms.
Primary partners will include Finance Operations, Accounting, Tax, Strategic Finance, Engineering, and Audit & Compliance teams.
---- What You Will Do ----
- Support and enhance Oracle Fusion Financials–based processes, ensuring accurate accounting and appropriate tax treatment across transactions.
- Act as a business partner and SME for Finance Applications across Oracle Fusion, internal financial systems, and a wide range of SaaS applications.
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Tax teams to ensure end-to-end process alignment, including intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and tax considerations.
- Drive improvements and configurations within Oracle Fusion Financials modules, while ensuring seamless interaction with internal platforms and external SaaS systems.
- Identify opportunities for process automation, standardization, and optimization, including improvements in tax determination, reporting, and compliance.
- Drive cross-functional requirements for financial system enhancements, reporting, eInvoicing, and statutory compliance.
- Evaluate information from multiple sources, identify gaps, and translate business and system requirements into scalable solutions.
- Document business requirements, functional designs, test scenarios, and user training materials, including controls and compliance considerations.
- Work closely with Finance and Engineering teams to understand end-to-end financial data flows across Oracle Fusion, internal systems, and multiple SaaS applications, including impacts on tax, intercompany, and financial reporting.
- Support implementation and enhancement of Oracle Fusion Financials modules and integrations, including tax platforms (e.g., Avalara, Vertex), eInvoicing solutions, and other SaaS financial and operational tools.
- Partner with Engineering to design and deliver robust integrations across Oracle Fusion, internal platforms, and a diverse SaaS application landscape.
---- Basic Qualifications ----
- Proven experience in end-to-end business process lifecycle, including design, automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Strong hands-on experience with ERP Financial systems, with exposure to or working knowledge of Oracle Fusion Financials.
- Experience supporting core financial processes (e.g., Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, Intercompany).
- Experience working within a hybrid ecosystem of ERP, internal platforms, and multiple SaaS applications (finance and non-finance).
- Solid understanding of financial processes and tax implications within transactions, including indirect tax and withholding concepts.
- Experience working with intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and financial close processes.
- Hands-on experience translating business, finance, and tax-related requirements into system configurations and functional specifications.
- Experience with system integrations, APIs, and data flows between Oracle Fusion, SaaS applications, and internal systems.
- Experience with process mapping, optimization, and performance tracking using KPIs and reporting tools.
---- Preferred Qualifications ----
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related discipline.
- Preferred: Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Financials, including:
- Payables
- Receivables
- General Ledger
- Intercompany
- Tax
- Experience with Oracle EBS or other ERP platforms.
- Experience with or exposure to multiple SaaS applications, including but not limited to:
- Finance platforms (e.g., Coupa, Ariba, Concur, Workday)
- Tax solutions (e.g., Avalara, Vertex)
- Other enterprise SaaS tools integrated with financial systems
- Exposure to eInvoicing, digital reporting, and global compliance frameworks.
- Experience in ERP implementations, Oracle Fusion deployments, SaaS integrations, or finance transformation initiatives.
- Strong expertise in process design, standardization, and automation across Oracle Fusion, ERP, and SaaS ecosystems, including tax-impacting processes.
- Experience with financial and operational reporting, analytics, and dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, ERP reporting).
- Ability to define and track KPIs across financial operations, tax accuracy, and close cycles.
- Exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency, intercompany, and cross-border environments.
- Experience collaborating across Finance, Accounting, Tax, Engineering, and Compliance teams in a matrixed organization.
- Experience in user training, change management, and stakeholder communication.
