About the Role

Uber's Delivery org is bootstrapping a brand new engineering team in India for Ad Tech. Ads is a relatively new high growth business for Uber. The team's charter includes impactful projects to grow the Advertiser base.

What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

1. Architect, design, and develop robust backend services and scalable APIs.
2. You will design, code, test, and launch backend services, data pipelines and ML-based product features at global scale.
3. Own important components in the Ad Tech system E2E.
4. Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of software applications.
5. Conduct code reviews, design discussions, and technical mentorship.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive, end-to-end solutions.
7. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve critical issues in production and development environments.
9. Provide strategic technical leadership to influence the direction of Uber’s technology stack.
10. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for software projects and processes.

---- Basic Qualifications ----

1. 10+ years of experience in full-stack software development.
2. Expert proficiency in backend technologies such as Java, Python, Node.js, or Go.
3. Deep understanding of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
4. Proficiency with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
5. Experience with designing and developing RESTful APIs.
6. Mastery of version control systems such as Git.
7. Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to lead collaborative teams.
8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
