Account Manager, Uber Advertising
About the Role
As a Demand Generation Account Manager (demand generation = ads and offers), you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and business impact for our merchant partners, implementing and optimizing demand generation activities within our Restaurants vertical. You will collaborate closely with Uber Eats commercial teams and your Account Executive(s) to identify, develop, pitch, and implement ads & offers solutions that meet merchant objectives, and drive the adoption of an expanding suite of ad offerings across our Mobility and Delivery platforms.
The Account Manager will specifically lead campaign implementation, reporting, and upsell opportunities and serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned book of business, fostering strong relationships and ensuring high levels of merchant satisfaction. Successful candidates will be able to prioritize a complex book of business, develop and foster multiple internal/external relationships, and understand how Uber’s ads/offers products support the growth of our merchant partners.
---- What the Candidate Will Do ----
Identify and Manage Upsell Opportunities:
- Partner with the Account Executive(s) and/or Uber Eats commercial teams to analyze merchant, platform, and category insights to identify growth opportunities within their book of business
- Manage pipeline of growth opportunities in Salesforce, ensuring accurate tracking of deals, contracts, and opportunity progress
- Create a comprehensive growth plan building on existing performance + insights
- Lead advanced growth conversations with merchants, including objection handling, and budget recommendations
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on products, advanced questions, and technical specifications, tailoring value propositions accordingly
Campaign Management:
- Coordinate with internal team + merchant partners to ensure proper campaign execution and operational efficiency (eg. collecting creative assets, implementing measurement solutions, etc).
- Monitor campaign performance and budget utilization, and provide optimization recommendations to merchant partners
- Support in reporting campaign outcomes to increase retention / growth
- Address and resolve billing issues in collaboration with Ops teams / merchants
Internal Collaboration:
- Work with business, product, and eng teams to provide feedback on product features and improvements based on customer needs (VOC)
- Coordinate with other technical / ops teams to ensure smooth implementation and integration of specialized products
- Scale impact across the team and org, helping to streamline ways of working, provide feedback on process improvements, sharing best practices, and developing best in class examples
---- Basic Qualifications ----
- 3+ years of full-time experience in an advertising or related role (media/marketing agency, ad tech, sales)
- Experience in a client facing position
- Basic understanding of media KPIs and terminology
---- Preferred Qualifications ----
- Ability to analyze data, review results, draw insights, and propose recommendations
- Experience running large-scale ads campaigns and partnering with large, complex brands
- Experience building relationships with internal/external partners
- Excellent negotiation, forecasting, communication, and problem solving skills
- Speed, resourcefulness, and a go-getter mentality who can navigate ambiguity
- Experience with performance advertising and the corresponding KPIs / measurement expectations
For Canada-based roles: The base salary range for this role is CAD$72,500 per year - CAD$80,500 per year.
