About the Role

As a part of Uber’s FinTech organization within the CFO’s office, you will be at the forefront of innovating the world’s most advanced financial products. Our team leverages industry best practices to manage complex global business operations, ensuring data reliability, audit compliance, and operational excellence.

As a Senior EDMCS Cloud Application Developer, you will serve as a technical lead for enterprise metadata management. You will partner with FinTech leaders to perform systems analysis, design scalable data models, and implement critical changes across our financial ecosystem. Your impact will be measured by the seamless launch of high-stakes projects and your ability to influence cross-functional teams across Engineering, Accounting, and Finance.

What You'll Do

1. Architecture & Design

  1. Lead Oracle EDMCS solutions, including system configuration and application development.
  2. Design enterprise metadata management frameworks, complex hierarchies, and master data governance models.
  3. Configure specialized EDMCS components: Viewpoints, Node Types, Node Sets, and Subscription models.
  4. Translate complex business requirements into scalable functional and technical design specifications.

2. Integration & Automation

  1. Architect and build robust integrations between EDMCS and the broader Oracle EPM/ERP suite (FCCS, ARCS, EPBCS, Oracle Fusion, others ERPS and Prod stack applications).
  2. Develop high-performance automation solutions using REST APIs, Groovy scripts, and EPMAutomate.
  3. Manage "data in motion" by building and maintaining inbound/outbound data loads, extracts, and transformation rules to ensure cross-system consistency.

3. Governance & Compliance

  1. Establish and enforce data governance policies, approval workflows, and security models (roles/permissions).
  2. Ensure all configurations and migrations meet strict SOX-compliant audit trails and regulatory requirements.
  3. Maintain comprehensive documentation for design, configuration, and testing evidence.

4. Collaboration & Leadership

  1. Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to deeply understand data flows and solve complex delivery challenges.
  2. Conduct workshops, demos, and end-user training sessions for EDMCS modules.
  3. Mentor junior team members and review technical deliverables to ensure quality and adherence to project governance.
  4. Troubleshoot system bottlenecks and optimize application performance for large-scale hierarchies.

Basic Qualifications

  1. Experience: 6+ years of professional experience in financial systems or software engineering.
  2. Core Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Oracle EDMCS (EDM Cloud), specifically in metadata modeling, request workflows, and validations.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Strong hands-on experience with Oracle EDMCS (EDM Cloud).
  2. Expertise in:
  3. Hierarchy management and metadata modeling
  4. Viewpoints, node types, and subscriptions
  5. Request workflows and validations
  6. Experience with Oracle EPM suite (FCCS, EPBCS, EPCM,ARCS).
  7. Knowledge of integration tools (ODI, OCI, MuleSoft, APIs).
  8. Strong SQL and data transformation skills.
  9. Understanding of Finance processes:
  10. Chart of Accounts (COA)
  11. Entity management
  12. Cost center hierarchies
  13. Experience in master data governance frameworks.
  14. Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  15. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  16. Ability to lead discussions and drive decisions.
  17. Experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure).
  18. Knowledge of scripting (Groovy, Python) for automation.
  19. Proficiency in integrating EDMCS with other systems using EPMAutomate and Oracle data pipelines
  20. Understanding of financial systems and processes, with the ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective EDMCS solutions

For Dallas, TX-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$162,000 per year - USD$180,000 per year.
