About the Role

At Uber, we strive to deliver safe and compliant transportation to all. Uber’s UK business must simultaneously adhere to the requirements of 100+ regulatory authorities in order to continue to operate the business. To do this, our Regulatory Operations team manages a suite of reporting processes, as well as providing on-demand regulatory support to UK regulators.

The right candidate for this role is interested in working with data, proactively seeks out opportunities to discover unique and exciting ways to solve problems, drive process excellence and delivers premium support to our Licensing entities.

What You'll Do:

  1. Execute a number of Regulatory related tasks in line with our licensing conditions across the UK and Ireland
  2. Liaise effectively with regulators on all issues with regard to regulatory reporting.
  3. Ensuring that confirmed reportable events are escalated to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  4. Strive toward meeting or exceeding our Regulatory KPIs
  5. Ability to escalate any requests that need further clarification or attention
  6. Work with our key stakeholders in fleshing out any complex or niche cases that you are investigating
  7. Identify and resolve any blockers that may present themselves to you in a professional and timely manner
  8. Be an advocate for our Regulatory vision and mission
  9. Identify and share trends, insights, defects and areas of improvement to share w/ stakeholders
  10. Perform audits or investigations and make recommendations to relevant stakeholders using guidelines

  2. Highly detail oriented: Proven ability to multi-task and follow through while paying strict attention to detail.

  4. Excellent Team player: You collaborate internally or across functional/regional areas to get the best possible outcome partners/councils.
  5. An Owner: Passionate and self-driven, you are deeply committed to taking Uber support to the next level and rise to the occasion to solve problems, big and small. You have the initiative to solve problems on your own.
  6. Positive: An infectiously positive attitude and drive to win; hustle with determination.
  7. Passionate: A genuine passion for Uber and exceptional customer support experiences.
  8. Problem Solver: Ability to evaluate information or situations & break them down into their key components. Apply strategic & critical thinking to consider various approaches & creative solutions to complex problems.

---- Preferred Qualifications ----

  1. Experience working in Compliance or Regulatory affairs preferred but not required
  2. Support experience in a high-volume environment, including service industries, retail, hospitality or other support environments.
