Driving at Taichung International Airport (RMQ)

Airports can be complicated places, especially for drivers. But knowing the basics, and getting information in advance about your local airport, can help make sure you’re prepared for your first pickup or dropoff.

Airport regulations

Airport reception

Before arriving at the airport, please check the map provided by the airport to understand the traffic conditions.

Airport drop off

Passengers need to arrive 2-3 hours before flight departure. If you are not familiar with terminal planning, please refer to the airport website.

Staging information

Cars: There are 178 parking spaces in the parking lot on the first underground floor of the International Terminal and 118 parking spaces in the north parking lot. The rate is 30 yuan per hour and the maximum is 200 yuan per day.

Motorcycle: There are 103 parking spaces in the parking lot on the basement floor of the International Terminal. The rate is RMB 20 per day or per time.

Opening hours: 05:00 in the morning to 23:00 in the evening every day.

There is no charge for parking cars and motorcycles within 30 minutes.

Parking areas for buses (including buses): 6. Platforms 1 to 3 are exclusively for public transportation buses, while platforms 4 to 6 are for all buses to get on and off, and parking is limited to 15 minutes.

Accessible Parking Discount Parking Discount: People with disabilities who use special vehicles and attach a special parking space identification card can park for free on the day after verification.

Discounts for accompanying persons

Next to the lane in the B1 exit area, there are scheduled taxis available, and fares are metered.
