Sr Operations & Logistics Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic, execution-driven leader to join Uber Mexico's Taxi team. The Taxi team is responsible for developing and executing strategies to integrate taxis into Uber’s platform.
You will be responsible for scaling operations and driving growth. If you have a strong analytical mindset, enjoy scaling new business areas, building growth strategies, and working with cross-functional teams, this role is for you.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Strategy & Scaling: Develop and own the comprehensive strategy for the aggressive scaling of our business.
- Taxi Launches and Expansions: Work with Policy, Legal, and Business Development teams to define strategies to expand our taxi operations.
- City-Level Strategy and Root-Cause Analysis: Develop city- and state-level strategies to scale our taxi operations, defining which levers can be used to scale and understanding what is holding growth back through root cause analysis.
- Product Feature Implementation: Work closely with Central Operations to deploy new Taxi specific product features within the Mexican market.
- Governance: Oversee project governance, proactively identify and unblock execution risks, and support reporting for senior leadership.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in Strategy, Operations, Consulting, or a related field within high-growth tech or scale-up environments.
- Strong Track Record in Scaling: Demonstrated success in building and executing strategies to grow a product or business line at an early stage.
- Expert Program Management: A history of successfully leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs in challenging, fast-moving settings.
- Exceptional Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, particularly adept at navigating and influencing internal and external stakeholders to ensure the success of a program. Experience in executive-level communication is crucial.
- Executional Excellence: Ability to dive into the details and implement solutions to make the project a success, while maintaining a view of the broader strategic objectives.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Comfortable working with complex data, generating clear root-cause analyses, and influencing critical business decisions through structured problem-solving.
- Language: Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in mobility technology companies.
- Experience working on growth bets and/or scaling parts of the business.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of SQL
