Team Lead, Uber Advertising Canada - Personal Care and Alcohol
About the Role
Uber Advertising is evolving. We’ve moved past the foundation phase and are now unlocking a new era of high-intent advertising. In Canada, our CPG business—specifically within Personal Care and Alcohol—is a massive engine for this growth.
As the Team Lead, you aren't just managing a book of business; you are the architect of our strategy for these key verticals. You will lead a high-performing Sales and Account Management team, bridging the gap between big-picture brand storytelling and granular, data-driven performance. Your mission is to deepen partnerships with Canada’s leading brands, navigating the unique regulatory landscape of Alcoholic Beverages while scaling the "everyday essential" dominance of Personal Care.
What You'll Do
- Own and evolve the Personal Care & BevAlc CPG Ads sales and account management strategy with a focus on sustainable growth, client retention, and cross-platform expansion.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of Client Partners (CPs) and Partner Managers (PMs), setting clear goals, tracking performance, and coaching top talent.
- Drive continued revenue growth from a maturing business by deepening relationships with key advertisers and unlocking incremental spend opportunities.
- Partner closely with cross-functional leaders (including Marketing, Product, Operations, Merchant teams and Analytics) to align on strategy, priorities, and customer experience.
- Optimize internal processes and tools to scale execution, improve performance visibility, and ensure strong operational rigor.
- Inform product strategy by sharing the voice of the customer — advocating for features and solutions that enhance advertiser outcomes across awareness, trial, and conversion.
- Shape go-to-market plans and collateral in partnership with Ads Global Partnership Solutions, ensuring a consistent message across external channels and field teams.
Basic Qualifications

- Advertising sales experience.
- Experience leading advertiser or account sales team for a big advertiser or at an agency.
- Proven track record of building and managing a multi-million dollar advertising business.
- Prior experience working with the CPG industry.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience at a digital media platform or at a large CPG advertiser.
- Be customer obsessed (users and merchants) and be passionate about building great experiences for Uber users all over the world.
- Focus on building businesses, not features. Experience building and leading businesses, including ownership and optimization of business performance metrics
- Be able to work cross functionally with many other roles and stakeholders in the company
- Exceptional communication skills, both within your team and with leadership and partners
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a thirst for learning
- Prior Personal Care or BevAlc industry experience preferred.
