Merchant Operations Manager

About the Role

Uber Eats is looking for an Operations Manager in Mexico, the mission of the Merchant Operations team is to make Uber Eats the preferred delivery platform for eaters by ensuring flawless merchant's operation.

You will be creating tools and scalable processes to support local teams to achieve magical experience targets. You will need to have daily interactions with Territory leads and Account Managers to make things happen and develop a deep understanding of key brands to get actionable insights and mid term strategies to make every delivery magical.

What You’ll Do

• Assess trade offs between different strategies to build long term eater loyalty and merchant preference

• Work closely with commercial teams to understand key ops merchant opportunities to reduce defects. Problem Solving: Identify root causes of risks and opportunities, develop multiple actionable solutions, and evaluate tradeoffs to recommend the best path forward.

• Process Optimization: Execute, optimize, and scale core analyses and processes across LatAm and beyond, regularly reviewing performance.
• Performance Management: Monitor KPIs and design initiatives to drive sustainable improvements against ambitious goals.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with commercial teams to understand pain points and identify system and process improvements.
• Team Contribution:Collaborate with a high-performing team on high-visibility projects and complex challenges.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience: at least 3 years of professional experience in logistics, business operations, strategy operations or any related field.
• Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to make strategic decisions based on data analysis. Comfortable working deeply with data while maintaining a big-picture perspective. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with experience in reporting, experimentation, and scaling processes or products.
• Execution Excellence: Ability to manage and prioritize complex workstreams, collaborate across teams, and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining high standards.
• Planning & Organization: Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects, including defining timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and resource allocation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Communication: Proficiency in Spanish and English. Ability to clearly interpret and present data to diverse audiences in an engaging and concise way.
• Teamwork: Demonstrates respect, collaboration, and accountability. Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and maintain strong working relationships, even when perspectives differ.
• Technical Skills: Strong SQL and Excel skills. Experience with databases or programming languages such as Python is a plus.
