Senior Client Partner, Uber Advertising Strategic Verticals (auto)
About the Role
Uber Advertising is building for real-world impact at the intersection of digital and physical movement. We are looking for an Ads Sr. Client Partner to join our newly formed division, specifically focused on our most strategic partners within the Automotive and OEM vertical.
This isn't a transactional sales role where you follow a pre-written playbook. It’s about navigating the messy reality of a fast-changing ads landscape and building long-term, high-stakes partnerships from the ground up. You will own the ads strategy for a portfolio of top brands, spending approximately 70% of your time on pre-sales—navigating ambiguity to earn trust and close complex deals—and 30% on post-sales, ensuring we deliver on marketing objectives. If you are a resilient, data-driven storyteller who thrives when the answer isn't always clear, this is where you’ll grow.
What You’ll Do
Navigate and Close: Lead high-complexity negotiations with Director, VP, and C-level marketing executives, turning ambiguous needs into structured, high-impact advertising partnerships.
Build from 0 to 1: Act as a founding member of the Auto vertical team, helping write the playbook for how we sell to OEMs and automotive brands.
Master the Data: Use data-driven storytelling to quantify opportunities and influence decision-makers, translating complex platform metrics into clear business value.
Own the Strategy: Execute end-to-end partnership strategies (70% pre-sales focus) that exceed quarterly growth goals while maintaining the discipline to support post-sales success.
Influence the Product: Be the voice of our largest customers, collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Ops to shape the future of Uber’s ads roadmap.
Solve for Complexity: Solve messy, high-impact problems—like navigating pricing pushback or internal trade-offs—to unlock value for both the client and Uber.
Move with Urgency: Adapt your approach based on shifting market dynamics and imperfect information, balancing speed with the precision required for enterprise-level deals.
Basic Qualifications
Ads Industry Experience: At least 5 years of full-time experience in Digital Advertising Sales or a related field.
Enterprise Expertise: Experience managing and closing business with large, complex enterprise brands or organizations.
Data Proficiency: Experience using data sets to build narratives and influence external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Vertical Knowledge: Deep domain expertise in the Automotive/OEM space, with an established network of industry contacts.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to build and implement sales plans for high-level partnerships that balance short-term wins with long-term sustainability.
Resilience and Grit: A track record of staying steady through tough negotiations and the inevitable "no" that comes with enterprise-level deal-making.
Cross-functional Leadership: Proven ability to influence without authority across product, legal, and operations teams to unblock deals.
