Product Manager - Mobility Marketplace

Product Management, Product
in Bangalore, India

About the Role

Mobility Marketplace builds real-time systems that balance supply and demand—using algorithms, experimentation, and data to improve how riders and drivers are matched and how the marketplace performs. This Product Manager will drive matching initiatives across varied trip types and supply conditions, partnering closely with engineering, partner product teams, and global stakeholders. Your work will directly improve reliability and rider experience (e.g., faster pickup, fewer cancellations) while strengthening driver outcomes and marketplace efficiency.

What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

  1. Own a matching-focused roadmap for a set of complex marketplace use cases—defining the problem, strategy, success metrics, and launch guardrails.
  2. Partner closely with engineering and data science to translate product goals into algorithmic requirements, run experiments, interpret results, and iterate quickly.
  3. Drive user discovery for the earner experience—identify pain points, validate hypotheses, and translate learnings into UX/product changes; create lightweight mocks to accelerate alignment.
  4. Lead end-to-end execution from discovery through launch and post-launch iteration, including monitoring key marketplace health metrics and diagnosing issues.
  5. Drive cross-team alignment with global product & ops stakeholders through strong asynchronous execution: clear PRDs, decision docs, tradeoff framing, and regular progress updates.

---- Basic Qualifications ----

  1. Algorithmic, data-driven product experience: 3+ years of Product Management experience in an experimentation-heavy, metrics-driven environment, ideally building algorithmic/ML-powered products and using results to drive iteration.
  2. Strong technical foundation: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative/technical field (or equivalent practical experience). Comfortable working deeply with engineering and data science—writing clear requirements for complex systems, understanding tradeoffs, and using data/metrics to make decisions (statistics/experimentation expertise strongly preferred).
  3. High ownership + structured communication: Demonstrated ability to proactively and autonomously drive clarity and momentum in ambiguous problem spaces—creating structured plans, making decisions with incomplete information, and keeping distributed stakeholders aligned through crisp written communication and regular updates.

---- Preferred Qualifications ----

  1. Marketplace / real-time systems expertise: Experience with multi-sided marketplaces (rides, delivery, logistics, ads, etc.) and real-time decisioning systems where small changes can have large network effects.
  2. Depth in optimization / applied ML: Hands-on experience partnering on model/algorithm changes (or academic/professional background in ML, research, statistics, or optimization) and strong intuition for measurement, guardrails, and unintended consequences.
  3. User discovery + product UI experience: Experience conducting user discovery with frontline users (e.g., earners/riders), translating insights into product requirements, and collaborating with design/engineering to improve end-to-end user experience; ability to create lightweight mocks/prototypes (e.g., Figma) is a plus.
  4. Pricing / incentives exposure: Experience collaborating on pricing, incentives, or user segmentation that interact tightly with user experience and marketplace reliability.
