About the Role

The Uber Finance Transformation Management Office (TMO) is looking for an Analyst to join our team as a core member of the EPM Optimization Strike Team. This person plays a crucial role in leading and driving the evolution of our financial processes and systems, combining strong FP&A domain expertise with structured transformation execution in a fast-paced environment. The focus of this role is the technical execution and data integrity of our transition toward a standardized, driver-based planning model. You will apply your FP&A process and systems expertise to define business processes that improve automation, standardization, and simplicity.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive Strategic Execution. You support the finance transformation team responsible for modernizing our systems, specifically within the Oracle EPM ecosystem.
  • Strengthen Team Effectiveness. As a core member of the cross-functional Strike Team, you ensure that enhancements for Allocations, Headcount, and FX are grounded in sound FP&A principles, operationally feasible, and delivered with high reliability and business accuracy.
  • Modernize Planning Models. You support end-to-end projects that transition manual, offline-intensive workflows toward integrated, driver-based technology solutions.
  • Enhance Logic Transparency. You collaborate with FinTech and StratFin to implement Allocation Explainability, improve data lineage transparency, and rationalize complex logic structures, ensuring stakeholders have clear visibility into financial outputs.
  • Continuous Improvement. You lead workshops and perform root cause analyses to resolve process friction and implement preventive controls that ensure long-term system stability; synthesize findings into structured recommendations that balance financial accuracy, operational practicality, and long-term scalability.
  • Technical Partnership. You work closely with FinTech and Engineering to align on vision, project timelines, and system capabilities.
  • Change Advocacy. You drive change management efforts by effectively communicating the objectives and benefits of transformation initiatives to partners at all levels.
  • Ensure Operational Readiness. You validate that new process flows and system requirements are fully operationalized and that the business is prepared for successful adoption.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in FP&A, finance transformation, corporate finance, or a similar analytical systems role with a proven track record of driving process improvements
  • Bachelors Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Engineering is preferred
  • We look for strong familiarity with FP&A software solutions such as Oracle EPM, HFM, or DRM
  • Ideal candidates have experience transitioning organizations toward standardized, scalable forecasting models
  • You should possess collaborative leadership skills and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Outstanding business insight, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are essential
  • Strong conceptual understanding of allocation methodologies, headcount planning drivers, and FX rate mechanics, with the ability to evaluate tradeoffs between financial precision and system complexity
