Senior Marketplace Ops Manager, APAC
About the Role
You will be responsible for strategy and governance for Capital allocation for total APAC investments across countries x cities x product x vertical (Rider/Driver). This is one of the key strategic roles for the APAC marketplace team to align and share the investment strategy that shows the best spend allocation and take-rate innovations to hold/gain CP in our markets. You will develop a deep understanding of all investments and their efficiencies, and work with the vertical leads to define the best allocation for the investments across countries x cities x products x vertical. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Capital Allocation APAC in driving the agenda across the region.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, sharp business instincts, and the intent and energy to drive pace and quality of execution and impact. The role requires leading and collaborating with leaders across multiple geographies, as well as partnering closely with Finance and S&P teams, while learning from global stakeholders. Success in this role will also depend on a high degree of stakeholder engagement and the ability to work effectively with global and APAC cross-functional leaders.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Capital allocation strategy and governance: Manage and optimize the investment allocation framework that automates the outcome based on business principles and Competitive Position status in each market for the entire APAC region.
- Opportunities & pullbacks framework: Work closely with country teams and strat-fin teams to identify investment and pullback opportunities, and whether there is a requirement at the APAC level.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with strat-fin and analytics teams to deliver the optimal allocation across countries.
- Budget planning & management: Program management and automation of budget allocation for marketplace improvements.
- Enable country teams to scale local initiatives and efficiency opportunities, which will be critical for the next frontier of growth across many APAC markets.
- Global best practices: Help scale local and global best practices on capital allocation in APAC.
What the Candidate Will Need
- 5+ years of experience in operations, strategy, or business leadership, ideally with exposure to mobility, fleets, and/or logistics.
- Strong analytical foundation with proficiency in SQL, predictive modeling, and a solid understanding of financial metrics and P&L drivers.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically with a comprehensive understanding of the operating environment.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to derive insights and drive decisions. Exceptional stakeholder management and collaboration skills with cross-functional and global teams.
- Ability to take initiative and strong programme management skills to execute multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Proven ability and experience to balance growth, profitability, and marketplace health, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize investment allocation and overall platform efficiency.
