Senior Strategy and Operations Manager - Consumer Pricing & Insights
About the Role
Uber Eats is a three sided marketplace comprising Eaters, Merchants, and Couriers and our team’s job is to ensure all three sides grow in harmony. We are looking for a Senior Strategy & Operations Manager to lead our Consumer Pricing and Insights pillar for the Canada team.
In this role, you will be the primary architect of how Canadian consumers perceive value and cost on our platform. You aren’t just moving numbers: you are using deep consumer insights to decode why eaters behave the way they do and using pricing levers to drive sustainable growth. You will sit at the intersection of behavioural economics, data science, and product operations, using data to solve complex elasticity problems and executing at scale to fundamentally change how Canadians shop and eat.
What You’ll Do
- Consumer Pricing Strategy: Own the end to end pricing strategy for the Canadian market by managing the strategic deployment of delivery fees, service fees, and consumer facing incentives to balance growth with unit economics
- Deep Consumer Insights: Act as the Voice of the Eater by synthesizing marketplace data, user research, and competitive intelligence to identify trends in consumer sentiment and spending habits
- Elasticity and Optimization: Analyze price sensitivity and elasticity across different regions and cohorts to optimize our pricing structures, ensuring we remain competitive while maintaining marketplace health
- Performance Management: Own core consumer KPIs including Eater Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), and Price to Conversion ratios to drive quantum leap improvements in how we retain our most valuable users
- Behavioural Experimentation: Design and execute rigorous A/B experiments to test new pricing models and promotional mechanics, using data to decide whether to pivot, kill, or scale initiatives
- Product Ops Bridge: Partner with Global Product and Pricing teams to launch and localize new consumer features such as subscription models or dynamic pricing tools in the Canadian market
- Cross Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, and Global Ops to ensure our pricing strategy aligns with brand positioning and long term financial targets
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, revenue management, or consulting with a heavy focus on consumer analytics
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets as well as experience building complex financial models and automated dashboards
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, business, or technical field
Preferred Qualifications
- Pricing Specialist: Deep understanding of price elasticity, dynamic pricing models, and the psychology of consumer incentives
- Insights Driven: Experience in consumer behaviour analysis, lifecycle marketing, or CRM strategy with the ability to turn raw data into a human story
- Marketplace Expertise: Familiarity with multi sided platforms and how consumer pricing adjustments ripple through to merchant volume and courier earnings
- Technical Rigour: Experience with advanced data visualization tools like Tableau or statistical programming such as Python or R to model complex consumer segments
- Strategic Communicator: Ability to distill complex pricing experiments into simple and actionable insights for executive leadership
- Status Quo Challenger: You do not just manage existing levers but look for disruptive ways to rethink how we deliver value to the Canadian consumer
