Mid-Market Account Executive, Venues Vertical, Uber for Business
About the Role
Uber for Business is looking for a sharp, results-oriented MM Account Executive to join our newly formed Venues team. In this role you will take ownership of building new business pipeline, forecasting opportunities, and constructing account plans to achieve your quota.
Venue Account Executives work closely with internal partners and cross-functional teams to strategize and create compelling solutions that help customers achieve their business goals. You’ll leverage your deep understanding of how various venues operate and the priorities that drive decisions in order to uncover business initiatives and challenges to map back to our solutions. What is a venue? A venue can be a stadium, arena, museum, transit station, shopping mall, etc.
If you’re a self-starter excited about selling a brand-new Uber product into a new vertical, this role is for you. You’ll take initiative to seize opportunities in a fast-evolving environment and own all aspects of the business within your market. We’re looking for highly motivated individuals who thrive on autonomy, accountability, and growth.
Our team collaborates in-person out of our incredible offices in NYC or Chicago on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We encourage our employees to work from our office on additional days if they desire to do so.
What You'll Do
- Creatively prospect into the top venues within the US
- Communicate the value of the Uber for Business product suite to prospects with a consultative and solution oriented approach
- Lead and coordinate end to end sales motion including qualification, education, presenting proposals, and contract negotiation to close deals
- Implement solutions with venue staff and decision makers to ensure tools are utilized.
- Provide pipeline status to leadership by regularly updating SFDC
- Achieve and consistently exceed sales goals
- Partner cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure a successful onboarding, launch, and long-term success of our clients programs
- Provide client feedback to internal cross functional teams in order to improve product over time
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in a B2B full quota carrying sales cycle role: prospecting, pitching & closing
- Requires travel at least 1 week per month, with some months requiring 2 weeks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling in the Mid-Market or Enterprise space (1,000+ employees or $500M-$2B in revenue)
- Knowledge of how to build and execute on territory and account plans
- Proven success of achieving sales quota targets
- Strong presentation and verbal communication skills with a solution oriented approach to working with prospects and customers
- Candid, meticulous, adaptable, and dedicated team-player who gets energy from building businesses
- Experience selling into the following ‘venues’ - arenas, stadiums, transit stations, shopping malls, or other high foot traffic areas.
- Experience working cross-functionally with internal/customer teams (e.g., Legal, Marketing, Operations)
- Bachelor's degree
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The total annualized on-target earnings (OTE) for this position are USD $139,167 - $154,167. The OTE includes a base salary of USD $83,500 - $92,500 and a variable incentive target of USD $55,667 - $61,667. The variable incentive target is based on individual sales performance and its payment is based on the terms of the sales incentive plan.
For New York, NY-based roles: The total annualized on-target earnings (OTE) for this position are USD $154,167 - $171,667. The OTE includes as a base salary of USD $92,500 - $103,000 and a variable incentive target of USD $61,667 - $68,667. The variable incentive target is based on individual sales performance and its payment is based on the terms of the sales incentive plan.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered sales bonuses & other types of comp.
