Credit Risk Analyst

About the Role

The Sr. B2B Credit Analyst will lead the B2B Credit activities for Uber in APAC. This role will partner with internal stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Operations and Technology, in addition to customers across multiple lines of business to support Uber's exponential growth!

What You'll Do

  1. Review and approve credit limit requests for all new Uber customers across all business lines.
  2. Manage Ad hoc requests such as credit limit increase, changes on payment method, review and approve payment terms extensions and payment plans.
  3. Analyze customer financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and calculate key financial ratios.
  4. Monitor customers creditworthiness, default trends and recommend risk mitigation strategies (credit insurance).
  5. Ensure compliance with internal credit policies.
  6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as Sales, Operations and Technology.
  7. Follow Bankruptcies with the Legal department.
  8. Monitor BPO activities.
  9. Works with Credit Agencies.

Basic Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related fields.
  2. 4+ years' Credit Management experience.
  3. Credit Management experience, ideally gained in B2B Operations of international corporations.
  4. Strong knowledge of Credit Risk strategies, Credit Capacity Design for Monthly bill customers, Credit and Debit Card portfolio, Payment Plans, Payment Terms extensions, Late Payment Fees calculations and Securities.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Financial Analysis & Credit Risk Assessment: Strong understanding of balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, and financial ratios.
  2. Risk Modeling & Credit Scoring. e.g.; Experience with credit Rating models (D&B, CRM)
  3. Ability to ensure compliance with internal credit policies.
  4. Proficiency in Google Sheets (Financial modeling, pivot Tables, VLOOKUP's, etc..)
  5. Strong attention to detail, communication and problem solving skills.
