About the Role
Uber Eats is looking for a Business Leader and Partner Success Account Manager to drive business growth and innovation by acting as a trusted advisor to SMB local hero restaurants in Japan. This key role within the SMB business involves managing the end-to-end experience of a crucial segment of restaurant partners. Responsibilities include scaling newly acquired restaurant brands, forming strategic partnerships with locally recognized brands, and contributing to long-term success for both partners and the company.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with C-level executives and points of contact at restaurant partners, design winning strategies, and create effective go-to-market plans to maximize the growth of restaurant clients' online food businesses with Uber Eats. A successful candidate should possess strong relationship-building skills, an ability to identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, and a mix of critical thinking, strategy development, sales expertise, operational excellence, and leadership. The role requires a highly adaptable individual capable of balancing long-term strategic initiatives with short-term tactical actions in a fast-paced environment.
Your Impact in Role:
- Manage 80+ named local SMB restaurant partners, while some of the accounts need to negotiate with the C-level, some need to start from finding the right POC to discuss the future OFD opportunity
- Track WoW rhythm of the business, and identified the hidden business signals
- Work with manager and the leadership team to build the future of the SMB Hero function in Japan, from helping shape our SMB Hero support function, to prioritizing key brands, supporting expansion into new markets, and applying efficient tiering methods to better allocate precious resources.
- Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales quotas
The Experience You’ll Bring:
- At least 5 years of sales experience in a high-growth company, with strong solution selling skills
- C-level communication/negotiation skills with some guidance from the leadership
- Understanding of SaaS products and marketplace ecosystem
- Energetic, has willingness to make the local society better
- Fluent Japanese and Business level English
Preferred Qualifications
- If you have an extended network and prior experience in Japan’s restaurant industry are plus
- Project management experience with XFN stakeholders
