About the Role

Uber Eats is seeking a Senior Operations and Logistics Manager to drive procurement excellence, optimize supplier performance, and elevate operational efficiency. This is a highly strategic and execution-oriented role that requires strong procurement experience, analytical capability, and a passion for building scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead the full lifecycle of vendor management from sourcing and contract negotiation to onboarding, execution, and performance tracking, while improving supply chain stability and cost-efficiency. Your focus will be on securing reliable, cost-effective partnerships and building operational processes that scale with business needs.

This role is highly cross-functional and collaborative. You will work closely with internal teams such as Local Sales, Onboarding, Operations, and APAC Sourcing as well as external vendors and partners, to lead high-impact initiatives that improve operational outcomes and drive measurable business value.

Your Impact in Role:

  1. Lead End-to-End Procurement Strategy: Develop and execute data-driven procurement strategies to identify top-tier suppliers, negotiate favorable contracts, and ensure reliable, high-quality, and cost-efficient service delivery.
  2. Build a High-Performing Vendor Ecosystem: Manage vendor relationships across onboarding, execution, and performance improvement. Implement frameworks to track SLAs, optimize service levels, and ensure supplier accountability.
  3. Scale Supply Chain Infrastructure: Forecast inventory and procurement needs based on data insights, assess operational risks, and implement scalable supply chain solutions aligned with business growth.
  4. Drive Operational Efficiency: Use data and root-cause analysis to identify process inefficiencies, improve supplier performance, and enhance fulfillment quality across procurement and operations.
  5. Lead and Develop Teams: Manage and mentor a small team of contractors to deliver on operational priorities, instilling a high-performance and collaborative culture.

The Experience You’ll Bring:

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English is an absolute requirement
  2. 6+ years of experience in procurement, logistics, operations, supply chain, or a related function
  3. Advanced skills in Google Sheets
  4. Proven ability to drive vendor lifecycle strategy from sourcing to performance improvement
  5. Strong business acumen with a data-first approach to problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Salesforce
  2. A builder mentality, with comfort developing scalable solutions from the ground up
  3. Excellent project management skills with a track record of handling multiple priorities and driving results
