As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a dedicated Payments Compliance Sr. Analyst to join our Horizon Scanning & Interpretation team—a critical function ensuring that our organization remains vigilant, agile, and aligned with the highest standards in payments compliance.This is a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking and strategic team that plays a pivotal role in shaping our compliance posture globally. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders, driving regulatory intelligence and helping the business navigate complex payments compliance landscapes with confidence.
The Horizon Scanning & Interpretation team handles a critical function to ensure that our organization remains vigilant, agile, and aligned with the highest standards in payments compliance. Aside from proactively identifying regulatory developments, the function is also expected to support new launches, new products and features, as well as interpret the regulatory requirements according to the company's setup and risk appetite.
What You'll Do
- Update and maintain regulatory overviews, reporting obligations, gap analyses, and other critical documentation.
- Align business initiatives with applicable national and international laws and regulations.
- Develop criteria to assess and evaluate new and emerging legislation relevant to the business.
- Analyze business strategies to identify compliance requirements and provide insights that support informed decision-making.
- Design and implement templates to standardize regulatory reporting and documentation processes.
- Support preparation for regulatory compliance in the launch of operations and new products across new markets and jurisdictions.
- Provide stakeholders with actionable guidance on adapting policies and procedures to meet regulatory changes.
- Identify compliance gaps and provide solutions to bridge those effectively and efficiently.
- Coordinate with external consultants engaged in regulatory and compliance projects.
- Present Horizon Scanning insights in forums and meetings to build awareness and empower stakeholders across functions.
- Ensure full compliance with Card Network and Payment Service Provider (PSP) rules, including ongoing obligations, manual reviews, and due diligence processes.
- Deeply understand regulatory needs and translate them into solutions for the Product.
- Empower Business Teams to build risk based products, processes, and controls.
- Collaborate to design practical and customer-oriented product solutions while ensuring full compliance of the product.
- Perform pre-launch and ongoing product compliance financial crime and regulatory analysis and risk assessments.
- Design scalable and customer-centric solutions to regulatory requirements.
- Offer effective advice to Product Managers on existing and forthcoming Regulations, gaps, and risks.
What You'll Need
- 4-6+ years of professional experience in compliance or related roles.
- Strong experience in Financial Crimes, with AML domains, including KYC and Transaction Monitoring, as well as Sanctions compliance.
- In-depth familiarity with payment compliance rules, especially those related to card networks, payment schemes, and PSP regulations.
- Strong fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
- Critical skills: organizational excellence, proactivity, meticulous attention to detail, and strong stakeholder management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Japanese.
- Law degree or equivalent legal background.
