Enterprise Partnerships Lead, Convenience & Retail

About the Role

We are looking for an impactful people manager to lead the Convenience and Retail partnerships team in Canada. You and your team will be responsible for launching, overseeing, and growing our highest-value partnerships across our Enterprise Convenience and Retail verticals.

This is a highly visible and cross-functional role that requires the ability to engage in both high-level strategy and detailed operational work. Internally, you will evangelize the value of partnerships to our broader organization and develop and execute growth strategies. Externally, you will represent the face of Uber to our business partners and grow deep relationships with those partners.

Scope of Responsibility

  • People Management: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy for merchants in the Convenience and Retail vertical in Canada, identifying growth opportunities and supporting merchant-first strategies.
  • Drive Partnerships: Help to lead commercial negotiations and manage relationships with major convenience store chains and retail partners, acting as a trusted advisor and problem-solver.
  • Data Driven: Leverage data-driven insights and operational expertise to enable the team to achieve partnership KPIs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product) to deliver exceptional partner experiences and optimize business outcomes.
  • Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of industry trends and competitive dynamics, sharing insights and recommendations to shape the future of the Convenience and Retail vertical.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of work experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or account management and 1+ years of leadership experience in partnerships, sales, or customer success.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial judgment and analytical skills to assess partnership opportunities and drive growth.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build and nurture strong relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Strong Communication: Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to address diverse customer needs
  • Analytical Mindset: A strong emphasis on data-driven decision making and the ability to use insights to optimize partnership performance.

Preferred Qualifications

  •  Relevant work experience within the CPG, retail, or e-commerce industries
  •  French Language Proficiency

For Canada-based roles: The base salary range for this role is CAD$126,000 per year - CAD$140,000 per year.
