Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) is one of the busiest airports in the US, handling more than 20 million passengers every year. Located about 6 miles (10 kilometers) northwest of downtown Honolulu, it is accessible for travelers going to and from the city. Getting around Honolulu Airport
To travel between terminals and gates at Honolulu International Airport, travelers can use the Honolulu Airport shuttle. A bus on the 3rd level of Terminal 2 will take departing overseas passengers (post-security) to the C or G gates. Arriving passengers at those same gates can catch a shuttle back to Terminal 1 or 2. Passengers checking in at Terminal 1 for a mainland flight in Terminal 2 will find buses on the 3rd level that can take them to their gate.
