Sr Software Engineer
The Supervisor Tech space is a combination of teams and technologies that build and operate tech to support managers, team leads in Uber's COE and BPOs. The supporting tech is mission critical in ensuring we are assigning and completing the work to the right staff and ensure the measurements are tracked with realtime Insights. The engineer on this team will work with other engineers in the team to build out scalable solutions to enable more features to the above mentioned persona.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for designing and driving projects from inception to production. The person will work with stakeholders, product managers, data scientists, and partner engineering teams to gather requirements and translate them into a platform feature. Also join on call rotation, driving continuous improvements on system availability, scalability, performance and efficiency.
---- Basic Qualifications ----
- 5+ years of experience in software development.
- Scalable system architecture design
- Production-quality services, deployment, monitoring, and reliability.
- Microservice designs, gRPC or REST API development
- Ability to decompose complex business problems into clean, extensible, performant services and systems
- Logging, monitoring, performance troubleshooting and tuning experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Comfortable in navigating multi-disciplinary teams with respect
- Focus on code quality in terms of coverage, code reviews
- Excellent technical writing skills to communicate design, requirements, flows, and architecture
- Fluent in one of these programming languages: Golang, Java,
- Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.

- Exposure to machine learning, GenAI, or LLM technologies
- Proven experience in designing and developing scalable microservices aligned with modern architectural principles and best practices.
