About the Role

Uber’s People Partner team works to ensure that our global employee population has the support they need through the employee lifecycle. Based around the world, we are the front-face of HR to Uber’s employees and work closely with the HRBPs to provide support to all functional areas. Additionally, the People Partners align with HR initiatives and projects, thinking globally and acting locally to ensure employees across Uber can focus on the work they were hired to do!

What You'll Do

  • Provide support to employees and leaders in the business: coaching on performance management, accommodations, business conduct, policies, and other HR-related topics
  • Analyze data from various daily activities and projects to identify patterns and trends that can help create, improve processes, or identify areas of concern
  • Through your commercial knowledge and data driven mindset, identify people-related trends, pain points and opportunities.
  • Partner with your cross functional teams on larger projects and organizational changes
  • Identify and execute on continuous improvement of HR programs and processes to enhance the overall employee and manager experience
  • Provide support to the various functions areas during the performance review lifecycle by contributing to the talent reviews, talent assessment, and follow-ups
  • Own and strengthen key partnerships on behalf of the team (with other People COEs: Benefits, ER, People Operations, People Systems, Analytics, HRBPs)
  • Facilitate the adoption and continuous improvement of HR programs, policies, and processes to improve the enablement and experience of employees and managers
  • Help implement local legal requirements related to awards, compensation, working hours etc ensuring we reduce legal risk, and maintain regulatory compliance by partnering with the business leaders and HRBPs, identify training needs for business units and individual executive guidance needs
  • Complete processes and project work to maintain compliance in your region or function

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or equivalent applicable experience preferred
  • Ideally 4-6 years experience in an HR role or related work experience preferred

  • Resourceful, creative, self-starter - ready to roll up their sleeves
  • Passionate about making an impact and about people-related outcomes
  • Able to swiftly build credibility with senior stakeholders and influence decisions based on both qualitative and quantitative (i.e., storytelling with data) information
  • Solid judgement and problem solving skills, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality

Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber’s cultural identity. Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office. For certain roles, such as those based at green-light hubs, employees are expected to be in-office for 100% of their time.
