About the Role

We’re seeking a dynamic communications professional to lead executive and employee communications for our APAC region. You will work with leaders to shape strategic messaging, drive engagement, and keep employees informed. You will also collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop and execute internal communications plans and campaigns. The ideal candidate is someone who can operate as a strategic thought-partner and a hands-on operator.

The Impact You'll Have

  • Oversee the development and execution of internal communication plans from start to finish, including strategy development, socialization, tactical execution, and reporting metrics.
  • Work with regional executives to advise on the best communications approach to cascade strategic information to employees.
  • Develop close partnerships with cross-functional teams and subject-matter experts to advise, produce, and implement internal communication campaigns.
  • Manage internal communications aspects of crisis communications, change management, and mergers & acquisitions within the region.
  • Draft, develop, and refine various written materials, such as leadership communications, FAQs, talking points, and other essential documents.
  • Distill complex topics into compelling messages, craft compelling narratives, and tell stories to keep employees informed and inspired.

The Experience You'll Bring

  • 6+ years of communications experience with Bachelor’s degree. Core experience is on leading internal communications and working within the APAC region.

  • A Self-Starter: At Uber, we thrive on entrepreneurial spirit, and we're eager to work with individuals who love building from the ground up. Our environment is fast-paced and ever-changing, so you'll need to be highly adaptable, able to juggle multiple projects at once, and stay calm under pressure.

  • A Skilled Writer: We need someone who can take complex issues and turn them into clear, engaging language that resonates with employees. If you have a knack for storytelling—whether it’s about our products, technology, people, or the positive impact we're making on passengers, drivers, and cities—you’ll fit right in.

  • A Team Player: This role will work across various teams and levels. The successful candidate will have the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders around common goals. We’re looking for people who thrive on collaboration and can navigate the ambiguity that comes with working cross-functionally to achieve results.

  • An Innovator: At the heart of Uber’s culture is innovation, and we're seeking a creative thinker who can bring fresh ideas and imaginative solutions to elevate our internal communications team.
