Uber Money is a stored value balance that gives you the flexibility to pay and control via the Uber/Uber Eats app. Uber Money can be used on Uber and Uber Eats (except on Flight, Train & Coach) and general restrictions may apply.

Uber Money is a stored value payment method that can be spent on Uber/Uber Eats (except Flight, Train & Coach). You can add and maintain Uber Money funds in the Uber Money account by redeeming gift cards or topping up the balance via credit/debit cards, PayPal and other local payment methods (where available).

Uber Cash/Uber Credits is a separate stored value payment method where Uber-issued balances like Uber credit/Uber Cash refunds, promotions, etc are stored.

Uber Money is currently supported in the UK, Mexico and in the following EEA countries: France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Poland and Sweden.

To be eligible to create an Uber Money account, please make sure that:

1. The mobile number attached to your Uber/Uber Eats account should be associated with one of the above-mentioned countries.
2. GPS permission should be enabled for Uber/Uber Eats app and you should be physically present in one of the above-mentioned countries
3. You have a password set up for your Uber/Uber Eats account.
4. The Uber/Uber Eats app installed on your mobile should be of the latest app version

Once the above requirements are fulfilled, please follow the instructions in the below section (How do I create/sign up for an Uber Money account?) to create your Uber Money account.

You can create an Uber Money account via Uber/Uber Eats app. Below are the steps:

1. Tap on 'Account' section of Uber/Uber Eats app
2. Tap on 'Wallet' or ‘Payment’ option
3. Tap on ‘Add Funds’ or ‘Get Started’ option on the Uber Money card

To protect your account, we also need to verify your identity. In order to do so you might be asked to:

1. Accept the 'Terms and Conditions'
2. Submit details such as your legal name and date of birth
3. Once provided, our system does the identity verification.
4. Once verification is completed, tap on 'Continue' to start using your Uber Money account

Note: In some circumstances, the verification of your identity can take up to 48 hours to complete. During this time, you will not be able to redeem gift cards or top-up funds to your Uber Money account. In case the verification is taking more than 48 hours, please contact customer support via the Help section of the Uber/Uber Eats app.

Currently, Uber Money funds which are available in your Uber Money account cannot be spent on Uber Travel products (Flight, Train, Coach). However, you can still use your Uber Money balance to request trips or order food via the respective Uber or UberEats mobile app.

No. Uber Money balances do not expire and you can access them at any time. This applies to both funds redeemed via Gift cards and funds added via payment method.

No. Creating an Uber Money account, topping up funds to an Uber Money account and spending Uber Money on Uber/Uber Eats platform will not impose any additional cost.

Account statements are generated monthly and can be found by following the below steps:

1. Log in to your Uber Money account in the Uber/Uber Eats App by tapping on Account >Wallet/Payment option > Uber Money Card.
2. Select ‘More options and Statements’ option.
3. Here you can select, view and download the statement.
