Electronic invoicing in France: what this means for your Uber Eats invoice

On Uber Eats, a single order can generate:

• invoices issued by Uber Eats France SAS (for example for certain service or delivery fees); and/or
• invoices issued in the name and on behalf of the merchants where the merchant is the legal seller for the items sold “food” component.

These invoices must comply with the new B2B e‑invoicing and e‑reporting rules. From 1 September 2026, some suppliers may already issue electronic invoices that comply with these rules, and this will gradually be extended to more suppliers through 2027, without changing how you access your invoices in the app. This does not change anything for your personal orders.

Your personal orders (B2C)

For personal orders, you do not need to take any action. You will continue to receive your receipts and PDF invoices in the app and by email as you do today. Any B2C e‑reporting obligations are handled via Uber’s (on behalf of the merchants) technical systems and do not change your in‑app experience.

Your business orders (B2B)

If you use Uber Eats on behalf of your company (for example, for expenses or orders billed to a legal entity):

• your invoices may, depending on the case, be issued by Uber Eats France SAS and/or in the name and on behalf of the merchant;
• their format will change to meet new requirements (additional mandatory fields, your company’s SIREN, structured XML in the background), while still being available as PDFs in the app;
• some companies may request that their invoices be routed through a specific electronic invoicing platform.
