Ride with Uber to the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 #DriveChange

Jozi, it’s almost time for the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 and we’re ready to make sure that you never miss a beat!

We’ll be capping dynamic pricing (i.e. surge) to all trips starting at FNB Stadium between 06:00 PM, 2 December 2018 – 03:00 AM, 3 December 2018. Whether you’re riding solo or sharing the experience with your favourite pals, we’re here to provide you with a safe and reliable ride to and from the festival.

Meet us at the UberZONE
We’ve ensured that you know exactly where to meet you driver when you’re ready to leave the gig. Need to charge your phone? Want to chill out? Need help requesting a ride and finding your Uber? Come meet us at the UberZONE – you can expect complimentary WiFi, charging stations and a super cool lounge area!

Split your fare
Riding with the entire crew? Select Split Fare at the bottom of your screen during the trip to share the costs of the ride easily with your friends. This way, it doesn’t matter who orders the Uber and you can say goodbye to doing those calculations at the end of the festival!

Check the details
Make sure you check the details in app and get into the correct vehicle, with the correct driver! Be sure to:
– Check that the car colour matches the one in-app
– Identify the registration plate and vehicle model
– Confirm your driver’s name and picture

Let loved ones know where you are
Enjoy the convenience of letting your friends and family know that you’re on your way! Safety is our #1 priority so we recommend that you always share your ride and location via the “share trip status” button.

Add multiple stops
Want to pick up or drop off your friends? Add the address of your stopover to your trip in the app, in order for your driver to know where he/she needs to go without any confusion. During the trip you can click “Add or Change” and add any extra stops to your trip via the “+” sign on the top.
