Introducing long distance fares in Kampala

As of Monday, 23 April 2018, there will be a change in pricing on long distance trips that start or end in certain areas outside of the uberX service area in Kampala.

Trips that start or end in Entebbe, as well as trips that end outside of the uberX service area in Kampala will be subject to a per kilometre surcharge of Ugx.1200 for every kilometre after the 5th kilometre.

These changes in fares have been made to better compensate Uber driver-partners for trips outside of the requestable uberX service area of Kampala and Entebbe town. In this way, we’re also able to continue giving you the great Uber experience you deserve.
