Up-to-date info on financial assistance related to the occurrence of COVID-19

In this article, you will find a summary of important information and news about the development of government measures related to driving with Uber. We will keep the page up-to-date to ensure that relevant information is always available.
A. Fiscal benefits (taxes)
If you are a Fleet Partner or Self-employed driver you are entitled to:
- Postpone the payment of health and social insurance premiums on behalf of the employer if revenues fall by over 40%
- Postpone advance tax payments if revenues fall by over 40% to the 30th of June.
- Entrepreneurs may count in previously unused tax loss since 2014 (inclusive) in their 2019 income tax declaration (to be submitted by June 2020). More info here.

B. Loans/credits
If you are a Fleet Partner or Self-employed driver you are entitled to:
Based on the statement of the Ministry of Finance of Slovak Republic you may be entitled to postpone your loan/mortgage/lease payments by 6-9 months. In order to negotiate the details on how to postpone the payments we recommend you contact your bank/lease company.
C. State subsidies of wages
If you are a Fleet Partner or Self-employed driver you are entitled to:
- The state will compensate 80 % of the employees’ salaries in mandatorily closed companies (aid may be up to €200,000 per company and compensation for a gross income of up to €1,100 (employee must not be in the notice period; both for time-limited and indefinite contracts)
- Contributions to the self-employed and employees in the companies that saw a decline in revenues (up to €800,000 a year) if revenues from 13 to 31 March drop by more than 20% (comparison on a year-on-year basis), the state will help self-employed or employee with €180;
if by 40%, €300;
if by 60%, €420;
if by 80%, €540.
Applications can be filed as of 6 April and first contributions will be paid out on 15 April (companies will provide honest declarations but the drop in revenues will be later checked ex-post thanks to data from electronic evidence of sales)
