One of our cultural values at Uber is #CustomerObsession, and we’re extremely encouraged that Singaporeans have given such positive feedback in this area.
The Public Transport Council recently published the findings its new Point-to-Point Transport Services Customer Satisfaction Survey (PCSS). The survey results revealed how Singaporeans preferred private-hire services like Uber across important categories such as safety and other service-focused features such as waiting time, ease of booking, information on services, ride comfort, driver’s knowledge of routes, and service provided by the driver.
This follows the Q2-2016 Customer Satisfaction Index of Singapore (CSISG) results released in September last year. The joint initiative by the Institute of Service Excellence at SMU (ISES) and the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) measures customer satisfaction across the various sectors of service in Singapore. It found that, when it came to customer satisfaction, Uber came out tops even when compared to the competition and comparable industries. It is important to note that other key factors that impacted satisfaction included safety and comfort of rides, where Uber scored above the average rating.
The real heroes here are driver-partners who tirelessly deliver the very best five-star service when it comes to safe and reliable rides. We are delighted that riders have recognised their efforts, as evidenced through these findings.
It is also exciting to see how technology can make a real difference to improving safety and service. Uber’s technology makes it possible to focus on safety for riders and drivers before, during, and after every trip in ways that were not possible before smartphones existed.
Modern technology can provide more effective ways of predicting, preventing and reducing risks—including increasing accountability and transparency through GPS records and constant feedback.
At Uber, we will continue listening to feedback and looking at data to create more magical experiences for both riders and drivers. We also encourage more Singaporeans to give us feedback through campaigns like the #6star Award! Please nominate and share stories of driver-partners who have gone the extra mile to provide a good ride; and every month three pairs of driver-partners and riders will be rewarded with $800.
Thank you again for this encouraging vote of confidence.
Thank you, driver-partners, for being at the forefront of helping riders enjoy magical Uber experiences.
We look forward to continually improving their experience with the kind of smart innovation that moves Singapore forward!
