In Saudi Arabia, more people than ever are using Uber to get where they need to go. We have recently started testing Cash as an alternative payment option. Check out the UberCASH Pro Tips below to learn how to move around the city like an expert and pay cash at the end of your ride.
*In the initial testing stages, the CASH option will be available to only a portion of riders, selected at random.
How to Enable Cash Payment

PRO TIPS
- You will not be able to pay cash on credit card trips.
- CASH is being introduced as an additional payment method. You can always choose to pay with your credit card.
- CASH option is only available for trips in Riyadh and Jeddah.
- If you intend to use Uber in other cities (e.g. Eastern Province, Dubai), please add a credit card to your account.
- Give the driver the exact amount for your trip. (Drivers will keep any overpaid amounts, it will not be added as credit).
- Your total fare will show on your driver’s device once the trip ends.
- You will not be able to make part payments on cash trips with your credit card and vice versa.
- Fare adjustments are not possible for cash trips.
- Switching your payment method from cash to credit card or vice versa is not possible during your trip.
- Switching your payment method after your ride ends is not possible.
- Not everyone will see the cash option as we are still testing and rolling it out slowly.
- The receipt will be sent to your email address as soon as your trip ends.
- Promotions apply to both credit card and cash trips.
Rate your driver based on your driver’s performance and quality of service. Drivers do not control the fare. If you have a question or need support, reply to your receipt and we’ll be happy to help!
