We are changing the fares for long distance trips with Uber

We know you’re using Uber because you can request a trip at a simple touch of a button and you can ride safely and comfortably, regardless of destination. If you choose to travel long distance with Uber, we would like to let you know that starting today, we are changing the pricing structure for trips exceeding 8 km.

The fare increases to 3.5 RON/km for any extra km starting with the 8th km of a trip. The distance traveled up to 8 km for trips in Iasi will be priced according to the standard fare.

You’ll continue to see the upfront price of your trip in the Uber app before requesting a ride. Regardless of the pricing structure, with Uber you’ll always know how much you’re paying before hitting the road!

Demand for trips to the suburbs has been increasing across all our cities (Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Brasov, Iasi) and our riders want more available cars in peripheral areas which are constantly developing. We carried out this change to ensure that you pay a correct and affordable price for your trip, regardless of your desired destination, and that partner drivers receive fair earnings when they drive you to your destination.
