Let’s play Bingo for a good cause!

Remember the first time you went fishing or rode a bike? Your first cooking experience or bedtime stories? The happiest childhood memories are closely tight to our parents and grandparents. On the occasion of International Elders Day, we encourage you to call your loved ones or, even better, spend some quality time together.

Did you know that in, Romania, 1 in 2 elders feels alone and useless? For them, Princess Margareta of Romania Foundation, together with Never Alone Foundation are running the campaign “Happily ever after” against social isolation of elders.

We are joining the cause and, on October 4th, we are organising a Bingo night hosted by no others than Tociu and Palade to raise more awareness and encourage people to get involved.

Bingo night will host two generations – Uber riders and their elderly guests, as well as some of the beneficiaries of the two foundations – who will spend a fun evening together. What else is in store:

You’ll be able to take your parents or grandparents on a fun ride in a superb vintage Citroën Traction Avant

Bingo night will be free of charge, but the number of invitations is limited.

How to request an invitation?

On Wednesday, October 3rd, open or download an Uber app from 13-00 to 15-00
Put any address in the “Where to” bar and request “BingoforGood” option
Wait until your request will be accepted by an available partner driver in the area
Once your request is accepted, the invitation to the event will be delivered to you with all the details
Got the invitation? You can come alone or invite a +1 (your elderly loved ones) to join you for an amazing experience on Thursday evening, starting 6 pm!

Want to do more?

- Send an SMS with “SINGUR” at 8844 and donate 2 Eur per month to support programs for elders who have no one left
- Enroll as a volunteer in one of the programmes run by Princess Margareta of Romania Foundation and Never Alone Foundation

Terms and conditions
1. GENERAL TERMS
1.1 The Contest Organizer (“Contest”) is Uber B.V, established in accordance with Dutch law (registration number 147019422), Meester Treublaan 7, 1097 DP Amsterdam (“Organizer”).

1.2 The organizer declares that the Competition is not a game of chance, a lottery, a mutual bet, a promotional lottery, the result of which depends on the case, or any other form provided for in the Act of 19 November 2009 on Gambling (Journal of Laws of 2009 No. 09 item 1540).

1.3 The Organizer submits the public promise specified in the Regulations and is solely responsible for conducting the Competition.

1.4 The competition is announced via Email, In-app message, Facebook, Instagram and is organized within “BingoforGood” activation carried out on 03/10/2018.
1. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION
2.1. Joining the promotion is voluntary and means acceptance of the provisions of the Regulations.

2.2. The Competition runs on 03/10/2018 within BingoforGood activation.

2.3. The Competition is organized on the territory of Bucharest.

2.4. The Competition Participant (hereinafter referred to as the “Participant”) may be any natural person who jointly meets the following conditions:
- He/she is 18 years old,
- Participant of BingoforGood activation
2.5 We expect a high demand during BingoforGood. The number of invitations & driver-partners is limited, and Uber B.V. does not guarantee the delivery to each Uber user.

2.6. To participate in Competition the person needs to accomplish the following steps:
1. Be an Uber user
2. Don’t have a debt on his / her user account
2.7. Participant’s competition tasks are the following:
1. Open or download the Uber app
2. Request BingoforGood from 13-00 to 15-00 on October 3rd
3. Wait until the request will be accepted by any available BingoforGood partner driver
4. Once the request is accepted, wait for the invitations to be delivered to his / her door
2.8. Participants of the Organizer and Partner are excluded from the Competition, including temporary employees or contractors of the Organizer and Partner, and other entities cooperating with the Organizer or the Partner in the organization of this Competition, as well as their close relatives. The close relatives are the spouse, siblings, second-degree affinities, ascendants, descendants and their spouses, the persons remaining in the adoption ratio and the persons who live together.

2.9. Each case of violation by the Participant of these Regulations will result in the Participant being excluded from participation in the Competition.

2.10. It is forbidden for the Participants to post in the comments any content that violates good customs, applicable law or violate any rights of third parties, vulgar content, propagating violence.

3 PRIZES

3.1. The Participant of competition, whose request was accepted by BingoforGood partner driver, will receive 2 invitations to the Bingo night event

3.2. The invitations and delivery of invitations are free of charge

3.3. To attend the event, the winners should arrive with the invitations to verify the Prize entitlement (invitations).
1. COMPLAINT PROCEDURE
4.1. Each participant has the right to lodge a complaint regarding the Competition.

4.2. Complaints related to the Competition should be submitted in electronic form, sent via the contact form to the Organizer: via the Uber application or via help.uber.com

4.3. Complaints may be submitted within 7 calendar days from the end of the Competition.

4.4. The complaint should include the name and surname of the complainant, the address for correspondence and a description of the grounds for the complaint.

5 FINAL PROVISIONS

5.1. These Regulations are available at the Organizer’s office and at

The Organizer reserves the right to make changes to the Regulations in justified cases, provided that changes can not deprive Participants of their rights acquired on the basis of the Regulations. Changes will be made in the form of annexes to the Regulations marked with a subsequent number and date and will not lead to a deterioration of the conditions of participation in the Competition

5.3 Participants will be notified via the email about the completion or change of the Competition rules

5.4. The organizer is not liable in case of impossibility to contact the Participant due to providing false or incorrect data – in this case the prize remains at the Organizer’s sole disposal.

5.5. The organizer is not responsible for technical problems on Facebook.

5.6. In case of violation of the Regulations by the Participant, the Jury appointed by the Organizer may exclude it at every stage of the Competition.

5.7. In matters not covered by the Regulations, the provisions of the Civil Code shall apply.

5.8. The competition is in no way sponsored, supported or conducted by Facebook or a company associated with it. All questions, comments, complaints and complaints related to the Competition should be directed to the Organizer, and in no case to the owners or administrators of the Facebook social network. The participant releases Facebook from liability for any damage incurred in connection with the Competition.

5.9. The rights and obligations of the Organizer and Participants of the Competition are specified solely in these Regulations of the Competition and in the relevant legal provisions. All information about the Competition available in advertising materials is for informational purposes only.
