Share a ride to celebrate Qatar National Day

Qatar National Day is just around the corner. To celebrate, we’re encouraging riders across Doha to ‘Share a ride, share the pride’ to help reduce traffic jams during National Day. We’re also giving one lucky rider free Uber rides for a year!

How it works
Between December 17 and 18, share a ride with your friends and family to attend the various celebrations around Doha and share a photo or video to wish Qatar a happy National Day.
Share a ride with your friends or family during your National Day celebrations.
Upload a picture or video from your ride on social media and wish Qatar a happy National Day.
Tag @Uber_qatar on Twitter or Instagram or @Uberqatar on Facebook and use the hashtag #ShareTheRide in your caption.
Don’t forget to set your Privacy settings to “Public” so we can see and share your post.
Grand prize
One grand prize winner will be randomly drawn from qualifying online submissions on December 19 to win free Uber rides for a year. The Winner will be announced on December 20, 2018.

Don’t forget to use the Multiple Destinations and Split Fare features to make sharing a ride better for everyone. 
 

Split the fare with your friends when you #ShareTheRide

You can divide the fare amount with up to three people directly in the app (although they’ll all need their own Uber accounts) simply by swiping up, tapping your selected payment method and then choosing Split Fare. You can enter the names of those you’re splitting with and they’ll receive a notification to accept before the ride is up.

Pick them up along the way with multiple stops

The Multiple Destinations feature allows you to add up to two extra stops along your route, so you can pick friends up and then drop them home again without any hassle. All you have to do is tap the + symbol next to your destination to make an extra box appear, and you can then enter your additional destinations. You can also add, change or remove your stops once you’re on the move using the app.

Terms & conditions
- To enter, participants must submit a photo or video and must tag @uber_qatar on Twitter or Instagram or @Uberqatar on Facebook, and use the hashtag #ShareTheRide (profiles must be set to public for Uber to be able to see their submission)
- Submissions will be accepted from December 17 through December 18, 2018 to be featured in the Uber app.
- By submitting your photo for this promotion you agree to have your picture/video and name featured on Uber’s social media channels.
- Photographs/videos submitted must be original works to which the submitting user has full rights of use.
- By submitting an entry, you give Uber permission to copy, publish and promote your entry, including your name and image.
- Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
- One winner will be randomly selected among the participants to receive one year of free rides (capped at QAR200 per month for 12 months, non-transferrable, starting January 1, 2019 ending December 31, 2019).
- Uber reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of Uber, includes objectionable content, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions of entry or who has, in the opinion of Uber, engaged in conduct in entering the promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the competition and/or Uber, as determined by Uber in its sole discretion. Uber reserves the right to disqualify a winner if Uber becomes aware that the winner and/or the winner’s entry is of a type described in this clause.
